    Insert GTA: San Andreas meme

In all honesty though, this looks like it's covering a lot :)

    • +7

All you had to do was use the damn code CJ ?

      • +1

You picked the wrong deal fool

    Hi Jack!

    • +7

      It'll be millions of Jacks…

      • Will they all be Hungry Jacks?

  • -4

    Shopback+westpac is better

  • +6

    Max $150 discount, damn!

  • +6

Are we sure that they won't inflate the price just for this event? We've seen them done it again and again before. Yeah $150 isn't much, is it?

    • Might want to ask Jack that question.

    • Just registered my afterpay account, and they gave the start off limit of $600.

Can somebody tell me what will happen if the product I want to buy is over $600? Does it mean that I can't enjoy the savings of the Afterpay day when trying to buy a single product of over $600?

      Thanks

      • +1

You can use gift cards to reduce the amount needed through afterpay. Only need $1 funded through afterpay for it to use the coupon code.

        • I think they fixed this. I get an error if I do that.

We can't apply this voucher. The order amount is already covered by another voucher.

This, despite there being over $50 not covered by the gift card.

Edit: nevermind, didn't realise it does the APay discount first so the gift card has to cover less than the discounted value

Aren't afterpay sales at this point the only sales where Jack doesn't show up at all. I miss some of these deals.

  • +11

Let's see what happens with Graphics cards….

    • probably no discount. but let's see.

  • +2

Waiting to see if there will finally be actual deals on GPUs or if the crowd sentiment will be to continue to hold until the end of days.

    • -2

      waiting for a below 2.5k 4090

  • How many times can be use the discount code. I remember last year was 3 times only

    • +1

It sounds like only a single use from the T&Cs

      • Thanks! Can confirm only one use.

  • do you have to pay with afterpay?

    • +4

Yes but can hopefully stack with discounted egiftcards again

  • -7

  • +2

skido finally coming out of his hibernation state

  • +1

Wonder if ya can still pay with gift card after selecting Afterpay 🤔

    • +1

Worked for the last Zip promotion in December.

      • +1

Mad… hopefully code is valid for the place I’m looking at buying from (Afterpay is an option so 🤞🏼)

    • Which gift cards you are Targeting?

      • I get eBay gift cards at 4% off.

  • +1

Damn was gonna use it on dell but then I noticed their store is closed on ebay :(

    • official store is still there but no item listings :(

  • how many items are on sale again?

  • So max 1k spent save $150…

However sellers will bump up that much anyway and cashback cannot stack on top

    • +3

These promos have been eBay/Afterpay funded in the past so hopefully that stays the same

  • what do i buy? i have money burning a hole in my pocket. what's good to buy. i gave up on buying a house. :(

      • +1

how’s that comment valid for a neg?

        • +2

One more down vote and the neg won't be valid :)

        • Why buying crypto is not appreciated? lol hence the neg

          • @sqheaven: probably a good time to buy. Buy the dip :D

            • @Charity: To recover from Celsius loss, you got to buy crypto lol

  • Don't want to sign up to after pay just for this….. Hoping gift card use it available.

    • +3

Previous times you’ve needed to spend at least part of the transaction through afterpay

      • i have never experienced this & i have shopped most afterpay sales days on ebay. ive always managed to get the full amount paid via GCs

  • What's the likelihood of seeing this discount on refurbished items?

  • +6

Millions of items sounds like Eligible Items run through a marketing department.

  • I’ve some items on my watch list, hopefully they don’t jack the price and the sale continues

  • Any guesses on how long it might take for Afterpay to follow all the other pay-later companies into insolvency?

    • +3

I am surprised they are still afloat with all these sales.

      • Afterpay will be the one who survives.

The venture capitalists are quite happy to keep pumping money into it.

It's no more likely disappearing than other companies with dubious financials such as Uber.

  • OP doesn't mention max number of eligible transactions. I assume you can only use the code once per eBay account?

    • Other promotions have had multiple uses before, so fingers crossed.

    • +2

You can only use the redemption code once during the Offer Period.

  • +1

Fingers x what I plan to buy is eligible and not jacked 🤞

  • 'Did not think Afterpay need to promote/compete in the BNPL lenders space with the major players already collapsed, but hey I won't look a horse gift in the mouth ;-)

    • None of the major players have collapsed in Australia yet.

      • I.e. Open Pay, Latitude Pay.

        • +1

Both had very little BNPL market share.

          • +1

@Aureus: And are tiny parts of much bigger companies, they are probably running at a loss and have a 3/5 year break even.

That clock will definately be ticking.

  • -1

Jack be nimble Jack be quick.

  • Dyson v10 absolute + is currently $799 @ Dyson's eBay. If it stays this price, $679.15 with this promotion would be a decent price. I'll definitely pull the trigger if this is the case.

Got a few fridges in my watch list as well at the good guys store.

  • Jacks already starting :(

  • Should we also see increased cash back as well?

  • Sure there'll be some jacking going on but Afterpay Day was one of the few events last year with actual deals on in demand items.

  • +1

    PLEASEEEEE PSVR2!

    Will the gaming gods deliver?

    • Just replying to say yes, yes indeed.

Just got the horizon bundle from gamesmen for $848 with free shipping on eBay plus free trial

  • +2

If Sony don’t Jack the price, the 55” A80J will drop to $1350. Not as good as JB’s recent deal but still a cracking price.

    • +1

You can get it for 1345.50 via Shopbacks 10% cashback on Sony too.

    • Also wouldn't 15% off be $1270?

      • +1

        Max $150 discount.

        • Thanks, makes sense.

Just saw cash rewards is doing 14% for Sony at the moment which brings it down to 1286.

    • $1325 when combined with the current 3% cashback capped at $20 with Shopback (or $1291.50 if you put $5 on afterpay and pay the balance using 2.5% discount eGift cards from Shopback). Beats the previous $1270.75 JB HiFi deal if you want delivery.

  • Hell why only $150 max

  • My Afterpay limit is $600. Can I use Afterpay to pay a partial amount of the order, and pay the rest using other payment methods?

For example, I'm buying an item at $1000. Can I pay $600 using Afterpay and $250 using Paypal/CC/Debit Card?

    • +3

Just buy discount eBay gift card and pay a small balance on Afterpay to max the discount

      • Does that mean I could still pay the rest by card if I wanted to?

  • Jack, Jack, Jackie. I can't get you off my mind.

    • +2

I woke up with your price on my lips. I woke up with your lips on my questionable discount.

    • -1

Dorsey, Dorsey, Dorsey can never go Wong……

    • It seems someone had negative thoughts about Jackie. I forgive you eBay.

  • +1

afterpay are still in business… it feels like most of these companies are going under…

    • Which ones have gone under?

      • +1

        Latitude pay..

      • +1

        And openpay.

    • +1

Square paid 29 billion USD to aquire them. Mistakes were made.

    • Turn off the TV and think. Wouldn't that be a good thing if you owed them money?

      • You will still be paying if u owed them…

        • Probably. But a chance you wouldn't. If this was the case, you were paying anyway. So can't really lose.

          • @Charity: It's kind of like an absentminded person buying discounted gift cards
