    Confirmed with eBay that afterpay must be used as a payment method and 15% discount will only apply to the amount used to pay with afterpay ie: $100 item and $50 gift card/$50 afterpay then 15% off will apply to $50 afterpay only.

      I'm not sure how you get through to someone in Ebay who knows the happenings. Its serious loaded with pawns that know nothing .
      Tomorrow only will reveal gift card power or not .
      BTW people should wait for this time and not alert Ebay to anything !

      That's not correct. Just did a test and adding gift cards to the payment didn't change the Afterpay 15% off amount, which stayed as 15% off the total even once gift cards were added to payment.

      This happens right in your ebay checkout, so you can see there directly the amount discounted.

      So once again ebay CS haven't a clue.

      It seems to need a minimum of $5 paid via AfterPay for the code to remain active. Their customer service are global and usually aren't privy to anything that isn't listed on the terms & conditions, assuming they read it and interpret it correctly at all.

      Pay them no mind.

      I'm sure they're aware of it - they are more than likely looking at metrics around it.

      I also doubt they have the competence to fix it and even if they did, current eBay management still seem intent on running the site into the ground.

        Yes - applied on the original price. Gift cards were purchased through my employee smartspending app which gives an effective 3.5% off.

        Not sure how applicable but at the payment screen I clicked Afterpay as the payment option. Then I added in afterpay discount code, added all gift cards leaving a remaining balance of 8AUD which was paid through Afterpay. Did this so that there is still an Afterpay contribution on the transaction.

      You will need to pay for the items from different sellers seperately

      Not really, the RX 6700 discounts are average, as are the RTX 3060 Ti ones, everything else is largely worse. Wait for the RTX 4070 launch, where some price drops are expected.

      If you're seeking a $500ish GPU, wait for 4060 Ti and 4060 launches, which should be in the mix before the end of June.

      You can have up to 10 products, but keep in mind that you cant use afterpay as a payment option at all if you have items from multiple sellers.

    Went to by something for around $800 only to discover my account had been frozen. No money owing to AP and they seem to have increased the borrowing limit few months ago without even asking me so not sure what is going on. Can't even get hold of them via a phone number and their chat support on the app is just a message board with no commitment on response time.

    Probably mentioned already. But the code is a one time only use. Easily navigated by having multiple accounts.

      If you have an established account you can have up to $3,000 on afterpay.

      But you can use gift cards to cover the balance of what your afterpay doesn't.

      Don't know how you're gonna get exactly $999 in ebay gift cards, but the logic is sound assuming minimum to use AfterPay is $1.

      You can get additional 3% cashback if you click via shopback after 7pm.

      There is a limit of how many gift cards you can use on ebay in an order too.
