  • SSD soldered too?

Surprisingly I found a website that I can copy paste your question and the model then it gives me answers! It’s called Google. It even directed me to a video that shows the inside of the laptop!!! Magic

      https://youtu.be/RZY8hfbLYWU

Ok just joking, at 2:00 you can see SSD is plug and play.

      • That video is for the AMD version however the intel version which the deal is for is not soldered either.

  • This or Nuc m15. Leaning towards Nuc.

    • If you need a machine for gaming or other graphics-intensive tasks, the NUC M15 would be the obvious choice having a dedicated graphics card however the IdeaPad has the better screen resolution and refresh rate plus a newer gen processor (11 vs 10) with integrated graphics which you would opt for if your focus is entertainment and productivity.

Note I'm comparing the IdeaPad with its Intel Core i7-1165G7 option which is an extra $300 on top of the price for the build I've linked here.

      • Thanks for your reply. But are we talking about the same laptop? Nuc m15 doesn’t have a dedicated graphics card.. the CPU is either i5 1240p or i7 1260p, then i7 version has a touch screen and 1TB storage.

my tasks are just normal office stuff, no gaming, so this or nuc should both be fine. just not sure about the build quality. Both look sleek and well-built made out of metal, but not sure the real world experience.

  • Any ideas about battery life? Site doesn't say, but Google gives reckons anywhere from 8-16hrs which is a pretty big range

From what I've seen in videos its 13 hours of web and 8.5 hours of video.

  • ah this sucks. I literally bought the slim 5i 8gb version last week for 1049 which was on sale

    • Unlucky, but if its any consolation you're still saving ~$300 which you can always put towards a better laptop in the future

  • Just to confirm, no display out from any of the USB-C ports?

    • It has two USB-C ports, one on each side of the laptop. Both USB-C ports support DisplayPort Alt Mode, which means they can be used to output video to an external display. There is also a

Why is it always so hard to find out what these things weigh? It's 1.95kg if you're interested (according to some random review site).

    • Lenovo has it listed under their Tech Specs section.

  • I've been watching the pricing of these closely for the last week and this one (the non-ARC A370 graphics model with USB-PD) was in the $1200s only at the beginning of this week I can't remember if it was closer to $1200 or $1299 but it definitely started with a $12XX, by the time I upgraded to i7 + 1TB SSD + Cloud grey it was only in the $1,600s, that spec has gone up massively to $2000!!! BEWARE if buying anything other than the headline "special" the options have gone up considerably.

Also worth noting the Intel A370-powered ones aren't even there anymore. I knew I should have bought earlier this week!

    Edit: Update upgraded price
