10000 Flybuys Points or $50 off by Spending $50 in One Transaction for 4 Consecutive Weeks @ Coles (Flybuys Activation Required)

490

Offer is back! Spend values may differ for you. I put $50 as it is the minimum you can get as an offer. This time it's $60 for me.

For any Westpac customers that have a debit mastercard, make sure to check your email if you have receive this offer!

I was lucky enough to get $20 off of $50 spend from Westpac that can be stacked with this Flybuys offer! So essentially at the end of the 4 week I would have to spend $240 and get 10,000 pts (Flybuys) + $80 cashback (Westpac)
So I don't think it gets any better than this (unless I got the $50 minimum spend from Flybuys)

WEEK 1
3 March - 12 March

WEEK 2
13 March - 19 March

WEEK 3
20 March - 26 March

WEEK 4

For some reason Coles/Flybuys stopped sending me these offers. I remember sometime last year I changed some of my preferences (was getting too many holiday and hotel offer emails from Flybuys), but didn't change my Coles, Coles Express, Target etc preferences. Not sure if that caused the issue, but yeah, no more offers.

    • +1

Maybe that did it, probably best to get another card and use an email other than your main. At the moment there's like 10+ travel offers in my app lol

    • +1

Like you, I also changed my preferences but have continued to receive offers, so I guess you can rule that out of the mix. I'd suggest you either stop shopping at Coles for a couple of weeks (or continue shopping there but not scan your FlyBuys card) and see if they send you an offer. Alternatively, just e-mail FlyBuys and ask them what's going on.

    • same here, lucky my husband is getting it, but it is $60 spend…I used to get them every 6 weeks ago until Dec, and barely get any offers at all

  • My offer is spend $110 for 4 consecutive weeks :-(

    • Mine is $200!! 😤

    • +4

I manipulate the algorithm by only every drip feeding the flybuys card with staples like bread milk, the occasional chicken etc and I always get the $50 x 4 week deal. If you put $200 on the card the algorithm will want you to keep spending $200 a week.
It’s probably why they never offer me freebies

      • +1

I have never done anywhere close to $100 in one transaction. Yet my offer is $130 / $180.

Must be all the Apple GCs I bought last month.

If you keep rebuffing them by not activating these outrageous spend offers, they will eventually lower the limit.

        • Agreed, I always ignore the follow up one wanting me to spend $70 or $80 for 2000. I just don’t need that much shopping as a single shopper

      • yes, that used to work for me, but now for some reason I never get these deals anymore….just stopped cold turkey after Dec

      • +1

@ Capitalshark: Same, in fact I try to avoid using my Flybuys card at all, except when I have these offers. Not worth using the card to get 20-30 pints here and there. You have to make them chase you!
Also if you get a $60 x 4 weeks offer, try to spend just over $60 in each of the 4 shops, that way your next offer will also be $60. If you spend $80 or $100 in any of those 4 shops, your next offer will most likely be $80 or $100. I made this mistake once, then had to skip a few $100 offers until they eventually dropped it back down to $60.

    • Mine is $160 😑 but can get 5000 after week 2
And then another 5000 after week 4

    • My spend is $110 for 4 weeks for 10,000 points

  • Third consecutive 4*$60 offer.
Only seem to get $120/2000pts outside of that …

  • +2

I have an interesting one this time where I get 5k points after both weeks 2 and 4, which works out great as I’ll be overseas for week 4 so unable to do the final shop

    • Yes, same for me - spend $50 in each week 1 and 2 , get 5000pts, then $50 each week 3 and 4, get another 5000pts. Looks like can skip 3&4 if want to, and still get pts for 1&2.

      • Jeez mine is downs $160 for same terms^

        • Sounds like a lot of A/B testing here…

  • They didn't even give my 10000pts from Christmas's promotion LOL. Been emailing them for more than a month :)

    • +1

That happened to me twice last year and it took one email and a few weeks to get them. Both times I used another offer in the middle of the 4 weeks and I rekon that killed it off. The last time I didn’t use another offer and it worked again

    • +1

Yeh same, have to email them again actually.
Got an email showing activation and successful spend in week 1, then nothing, despite app showing qualifying purchase made within each week dates

    • +3

Same, I have been emailing and they credit it with proof..

They must be using a lemon system. Often the entire deal would be missing from my Activated Offers and I would have to keep track of my spends.

Make sure you keep your receipts

      • yes, I always keep the receipt showing what week have qualified until I get the points, so I have proof if anything happens….but I haven't received this deal since Dec, didn't get anything again (other than a spend $90 to get 2000 points the other day) Lucky my husband got it this time, he didn't get the last one either.

    • ring them

      • I rang the first actually and they told me to email them haha

    • +2

If you have Facebook Messenger you should contact them through there, they're pretty responsive for me there. Usually takes 3-5 days for them to get back to me.

      • Ah didn't think of this way! Sure I'll give it a try.

  • No coles near my house. I used to reload Opal for this promo..is this still doable?

  • The best I got is $50 x 4 for 10,000 points. 25% off great.

    • It's actually 20% as you have spend $200 for $250 of value at the end of it.

  • One account got spend $50 per week for 10k points.

The other account got spend $280 per week for 20k points.

    Disloyalty lol.

  • +2

stop using coles for a month and they will send reasonable offers again. the moment they step over 90$ I'll go to ALDI or woolworth (only if they have some reasonable offers). Make them earn your money.

  • Oh while you guys all here. Anyone having trouble transferring Flybuys points to Velocity points? I turned on the auto transfer but none of them been transferred

  • Me and my partner have collected 30,000 Velocity points from these offers in the past few months. And it's always $50 per week! Keep em coming Coles!

  • $90x4 for $50
    .

  • For those keep getting spend $30 get 1200pt, do you still get that recently? Mine stop since last week.

  • Can anyone tell me how come my partner account never get this, only me

    • who knows, it seems to arbitrary. We both used to get it, then it stopped after Dec, and lucky my husband got it today, I still didn't get anything.

  • My offer is 4 x $140 for 10K points (8.9%) , or 4 x $200 for 20K points (12.5%).

I've been in the top 1% of Flybuys earners for last two years, mostly through gift card purchases, but as a single guy living alone I simply can't spend this much money on groceries. I'd have to stockpile washing powder or something.

    • I'm the same. Even stockpiling non perishables like dishwashing tabs and laundry powder it's still a mission to maintain $140/week for a month. I've stopped bothering and have been spending less per week (Woolworths instead) to try and get the spend lower. Hasn't worked so far.

      • It will, just takes a while. Maybe 3 months or more.

  • $140/$190 for 10K/20K

Mine jumped up soon after I bought 5 of the discounted prepaid Mastercards a couple of times. Shouldn’t have scanned my card!

    • Yeah, I made this mistake a couple of years ago. Took a good 6 - 12 months for things to calm down after that.

  • I was getting repeatedly the 1200/$30 spend for every twice a week

Haven't yet received this offer, I usually get the 10k/4x$50 offers.

Sometimes struggling to make the $50 minimum spend by weeks 3&4….
…$50 is barely perishables now, even for this single bachelor who doesn't cook

  • I need to spend over $110 in one transaction every week for 4 weeks… oooft

    • Same

  • +1

Got mine at $60 a week for 10k points. Pretty good!

  • Maybe it's because I am sitting at over 50,000 points right now, but my offer was:

    Collect 10,000 bonus points
Spend $130 in one transaction in-store or online at Coles, each week for 4 weeks.

    or

    Collect 20,000 bonus points
Spend $180 in one transaction in-store or online at Coles, each week for 4 weeks instead.

I have several accounts and the number of points in the account is unrelated to how good the offer is. To me, it seems to be the spend. The question is whether spend on GCs affects these offers. They do not make sense. On one account I received $50 x 4 for 10,000 points. Yet the same account also received 3,000 bonus points for a $250 Spend Weds - Frid of the same week

  • I didn't even get the offer this time. We've been consistently spending a good $160-200 weekly for a long while now (baby formula and pets add up!).

    • +1

@ Morphio25: You need to understand how the algorithm works. What is the incentive for Coles to give you points when you already spend a large amount consistently. They think they've got you by the big kahuna's. If you want to get good offers, try to break up your shopping into smaller amounts or stop using the FlyBuys card for some of your shops. Works for me :)

      • I messaged them on Facebook and they pretty much told me what you said without saying it so I told them I'd be taking my business to Woolies. There is literally no incentive for me to shop at Coles without these offers as we normally bank those $$ to use at Xmas time.

        • I try to alternate my shopping between Woolies and Coles depending on who gives me the best offers. For me the Coles offers have been better lateley. Woolies seem to offer less and less points and keep increasing the required spend to ridiculous amounts I cannot achieve.

Not sure if banking your points for Xmas may also be affecting your algorithm? I tend to use my points for small shops when I just need to pick up some milk and bread. That also helps to make Coles think I only spend small amounts so they then give me offers to spend $50 or $60.

      • +1

        Or get more accounts.

        • I've one Flybuys account with 4 family members sharing fuel vouchers
Can I open another account and still keep that name in the original account?
I assume it has to be a new email and mobile number

          • +1

@trixieb: Yes, you can use the same names. For security, you should not use real birthdays but keep a record of the date you use as they ask for it if you call them. Yes, new email, and I recommend a new mobile number, if you can although some have stated here that they use the same one for several accounts. I also use different CCs or GCs with each account but there is some debate on whether this is necessary.

  • The offer went missing this morning I refreshed the app, anyone has this issue? I got the 10000 pts for $50 spend 4 weeks. Utilised the first week.

    • I think that's normal procedure. Flybuys sure is a weird system. You should receive an email this week confirming you completed Week 1, and "Don't forget to shop for Week 2".
It would sure help if Flybuys was a real-time feedback process, so you knew exactly where you stood at any time.

    • +1

Update: Spent required $50 on Day 1 of first week. Spent $50 on Day 1 of second week. Received 5000 pts 24hrs later.
Coincidentally had "Spend $50 get 1000 pts" for both weeks 1 & 2, as a separate offer. Two lots of double-dipping, to receive 7000 pts total for $100 spend. Luv it!

  • completed wk1 shops. wk2 spend reminder still not show up in the app or an email

    anyone hv similar issue?

    • I just don't do them anymore as I always mess up a period and end up with 0 .

    • Do you still have the receipt? At the bottom it will say if you've met the week 2 spending.

      • we threw away the dockets… but both accounts reflected the purchase on 6/3/23 n 10/3/23 which is wk1 window.

yes on two separate flybuys system.

        • You need to keep receipts when you are doing these deals. If anything goes wrong you will need to email them a copy to have the points added manually.
