Good for meeting those CC spend requirements. Keep in mind this is a VISA card not Eftpos card, so Credit card surcharges may still apply at some retailers like ALDI etc. who charge CC fee.

…One Day Only…Promotion available on Thursday 2 March until Friday 3 March. Promotion ends Friday 3 March at 4:00PM AEDT.

    One day? Two days?

    • Yup good point,
But TO BE HONEST when this promo ends is either

WHEN THEY RUN OUT OF STOCK

      or

      Friday 4 pm AEDT 3 March 2023

      • Run out of stock? Of digital cards?

        • Pretty sure in past TCN had gone OOS of digital GC, not sure which one ( may be 5-10% discounted apple GCs ?)

        • They likely have a set marketing budget ∴ unsurprising that there are limited quantities.

  • +5

No fees but no discount, what's the point?

    • meeting those CC spend requirements.

Gifting people $10 easily without fees (those small amounts fee free are essentially discounted LoL)

      • meeting those CC spend requirements.

Could you please give us an example of such requirement? Genuinely curious.

        • Apply for a new credit card, and spend $4000 for the first 3 months to get 100,000 bonus points.

          • @T-man: Cool. This is a good way to earn those bonus points quickly as long as these cards aren't easy to hack like those pesky Coles MC GCs.

    • Good for meeting those CC spend requirements

      In the OP.

    • Happy National Employee Appreciation Day

      What is this?
According to Wikipedia, the "event" was created in the USA in 1995 and "…is still gaining in adoption in the US and abroad…*".

Surely we don't need another one of these.

Possibly the best time to redeem the code from previous offer. Refer to this. I haven't got the time to test it, though.

      • +1

        Cofirmed that it worked.

Had $150 credit with Card.Gift for swapping electricity retailer for 3mth
Preferred a Visa or Mastercard rather than another store card. So saved $4.95 fee!

  • Can you top up the balance of a card? I can't find any info on their site. No FAQ at all.

I was thinking it could be good to control the kid's Google Play spending. I can add $x a week to their account. (Not getting them their own bank cards yet due to age)

    • +2

no I donnt think these can topped if you after such ones then you should use Revolut virtual cards

      • thanks for the tip DC, I'll look that up

    • @JamesSavage Try Revolut for digital (free) generated Credit Cards. You can create several virtual credit cards (with unique CCV, expiry, CC number) and place spending limits on each card. Easily add to google pay etc and extremely easy to control. perfect for kids. you can even generate one time disposal (virtual cards) - https://www.revolut.com/en-AU/cards/

  • have these ever had any issues of being brute forced like the colesworth prepaid visa/mcs?

    • These are totally digitally issued, hence it wont have a chance of having card number leaked before activation like the physical cards would.

As far as bruteforce goes anything is possible with it, the only matter is how long it is takes and when it catches it

  • Can these cards to be added to your digital wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.) with ease?

    • +1

Can add to Apple and Google pay

  • Anyone had CC churn experience with this site being included as normal spend? Some financial services sites are excluded

    • Why would CC companies explicitly include giftcard sites in the spend criteria ?

Is it that hard for you to buy a $10 GC and see if that is counting or not ?

BTW generally speaking only the excluded transactions are listed in CC spend. I doubt this or TCN is in exclusion

      • +4

I think the concern arises from the fact that Commonwealth Bank and Bankwest classify all purchases on Giftz.com.au as a cash advance and it has burnt a few OzBargainers, especially since Commonwealth Bank does not count cash advances towards the minimum spend for credit card offers.

Actually, Commonwealth Bank considers any purchases of gift cards as a cash advance, but they would usually have a hard time figuring out whether you were purchasing a gift card or something else.

Who knows whether Commonwealth Bank and/or Bankwest (or any other financial institution) count purchases from Card.Gift as a cash advance!

Is it that hard for you to buy a $10 GC and see if that is counting or not ?

It could be hard, because a cash advance fee may not show up on your account until a few days after the transaction (i.e. after this deal has finished).

      • @User DC You're obviously not an experienced churner If you are asking the question. CC purchases take 2 business days for banks to finalise a transaction points wise.

So yes you can purchase now, but the points will not be granted or rejected (classified) for 2 business days.

Given the promo is just for today only, you can probably figure out why purchasing a $10 test card wouldn't help anyone.

  • Can these be used on Deft.com.au?

  • Has anyone bought this? I bought this and still waiting for the card coming to mail. It's been nearly 4 hours. Does it always take this long??

    • check spam/trash ?

      • Checked. Nothing.

        • may need to call them when open.

    • Same here, it has been a few hours now. Only received the order confirmation email.

Got an order cancel mail this morning says because my info is different as card holder. I chose for myself. They told me to order again and use the card holder's info. 😂

        • Mine was cancelled too lol

    • Received Visa card within minutes - as no need to check payment - had $150 credit with Card.Gift.

  • Great - been waiting for a no fee Visa Deal👍

Received $150 Card.Gift gift card from Compare & Connect Deal - changed electricity retailer for 3mth.
(Then signed up for Econnex $150 Deal almost 90 days ago. Time to swap again! Going by past experience, should receive $150 Woolies eGift Card soon.)

Bought $150 Visa card via SMS sent in promotion @no cost. Saved $4.95.

Received Visa card within minutes - as payment was from credit with Card.Gift.

    • In a very similar email with special.com.au, they canceled the orders for no reason.

      • I called up to discuss for ten minutes. Basically consultant said order it again and immediately call us up to verify some details. I completed a new order, called up, verified some info and then it was approved and received 5 minutes later.
