Doesn't look like a heavy duty workbench.
all in the eyes of the beholder…. what aspects make you believe it isn't a heavy duty workbench?
(my analysis….it's flat, it's at about my bench working height… it's got a fair area (2M x .6M) and it can withstand a fair load (800kg)
I'm genuinely curious…. I've got a number of their (pinnacle) racks in my supershed…. they don't take loaded pallets but they take significant weight…If you were hammering in the middle (or just about anywhere) i think it would bend or deform. I've got shelving that looks similar to this. And yes it's great for storage, but no way I would use it as a workbench because it wouldn't last.
I suppose it depends what you intend to use it for. But for me a heavy duty workbench should be able to withstand impacts/forces from various angles. Not just hold weight.
Fair enough…. I've got an incredibly heavy workbench that's top is plate steel on one side and wood on the other… it's about the only workbench I have that I'd do hard hammering on. I've got tough wooden benches that I'd only do light hammering with, but nothing with the 2Kg sledge.

These are still $299 in Belconnen. They actually do look pretty damn good!
