[VIC, NSW, QLD] Sign up for Electricity and Get $50 Credit on Your First Bill @ Sumo

100
FEB50

Get a $50 Credit when you sign up with SUMO for electricity and use promo code FEB50.

Currently, I believe Sumo Assure plan is good. My current plan is with Sumo but has higher rates, so according to my calculations switching to this plan slashed my previous bill by half!! (without the initial credit of course)

Offer Terms and Conditions:

  • $50 credit offer only for VIC, NSW and QLD electricity customers.
  • Customers must use promotion code FEB50 when they sign up online at https://sumo.com.au or quote FEB50 when they call Sumo directly on 13 88 60. Excludes Sumo’s standing offer.
  • Offer ends 28 February 2023 11:59pm AEDT.
  • To be eligible for the $50 credit, your electricity supply must transfer to Sumo and remain active with Sumo for at least 30 days. Your $50 credit will be applied to your next Sumo electricity bill after the 30 days have passed.

Horrible website that forces you to enter your details (mobile and email), and select a check box consenting to them contacting you before giving electricity plan information.

Shouldn't need to do the above to see the plan information..

Yes and for terrible rates. I suppose the EnergyMadeEasy website will have the details too

      https://www.energymadeeasy.gov.au/

      • In Vic Sumo has the best rates I can find for our usage

You can do what I do - When websites like these ask for prior information, I just provide gibberish data.
Eg: Name - qwerty, Email - [email protected], Phone - 040000000

  • Wow, Gold Coast supply charge 148.5c/day
It'll take me 125 days to burn that $50 just on that difference. Let alone the 6c/kwh extra for usage.

    • Good thing you only need to stay connected for 30 days.

Never received my $50 credit even after chasing it up with them many times

Alternatively use cash rewards to get $70 Cashback on electricity and $42 on gas.

If you can't be bothered switching for the Cashback use the government comparison websites for rates
