Windows 7 Nokia Lumia 900 - $419 (Exl. Shipping) ~ $495 Shipped

30

(EDIT: Found the shipping component, fixed title to say excluding shipping.)

Cheapest Lumia 900 I've seen so far, no idea about the company though, these will be going or have gone through the floor in price.

I decided to hang out for 400 bucks (included shipping) big thing with these though is that they cannot be upgraded to windows 8 phone, just 7.8 which is UI, which, i dont' care about, decent phone outright.

It has Australian warranty, + more for extra.

  • I don't think it's Aussie stock because it doesn't have Optus 900 frequency and Telstra doesn't sell the Lumia 900 here.

Could be a third party warranty?

    • "Says Australian" but no idea.

  • awesome price drop on all the Lumias here (600,800,900)

I like the 800 size as it has 3.7" and it shows a drop from AU$679.00 to AU$289.00

great spotting - looks like they have to ditch these before the WP8 models but these with WP7.8 (even WP7.5 current version) will be a great buy.

    • +2

WP7.8 is just a skin. Still a good OS though, but will likely be ditched by developers.

  • Exl. Shipping? Then you should…

  • Figured out the 2 day shipping for me, not sure if it varys or you can get it cheaper if you sign up or login.

  • +1

wow Becextech always seems so cheap at first, then you add the $70-80 for """postage and handling""" and then you realise ITS A LIE

    • yeah kinda caught me off, figured that out , if you buy 2 it's 100 bucks shipping. I think its "slightly" cheaper then other places but not as fantastic as i thought.

    • +6

      Why don't they just advertise it as "$FREE + $495 Shipping"…. :)

  • this company is a big unknown

you may trawl Whirlpool and see what the consensus is

  • 1 Year 'Australian Warranty" is not by Nokia…

Nokia has 24 months local warranty…

IMHO best getting one from AllPhones or Mobileciti for $600~

  • +2

Seems somewhat foolish to spend $500 on a phone that will have a OS that can't be upgraded past WM 7.8.

  • +1

Horrible price for a phone that can't get windows phone 8.

    • -1

It's basically getting every Windows Phone 8 feature, except those features which the hardware can't support. No wp8 apps either, but there are 100,000 apps already.

      • Link? skimming through a few articles, it doesn't look like windows phone 7.8 has many new features at all.

        • lol, oh of course you do.

  • It's Windows Phone 7 not windows 7. And who the heck charges so much for Phone shipping locally.

  • +1

If the Lumia 800 is only $289, its a very good price. Prepaid Android phones are slightly cheaper but all mainly stuck on Android 2.3, this might be stuck on WP7.8 but heck, its still much better than a phone stuck on Android 2.3! Nokia makes Quality and the 800 is quality.

    • -1

Depends on the android phone. I recently upgraded to ICS on my Galaxy S2 which had Android 2.3 and it was fantastic. This is also about $500, which is $23 cheaper than one Android's top phones, the HTC One X.

  • +1

$76 for shipping and handling? Are they shipping from Mars?
    Fail

  • For those stuck on android 2.3 you can always try installing
    Cyanogenmod. Bit off the topic.

Abandoned by Microsoft, cannot update to future windows 8, why still so expensive? Heard that in America, already drop down half from 99 to 49 for the contract…

Australian based warranty for an imported grey stock? I think you might as well get a Galaxy Nexus from Kogan for $100 cheaper. Or even buying outright from Vodafone costs $499 and you get 2 years warranty.

Galaxy Nexus with Jelly Bean is as smooth and fast if not better, as Windows Phone and will continue to receive updates for at least another year like how Nexus S released end of 2010 still received Jelly Bean almost 2 years after.

I'm not trolling or flaming, just presenting an alternative here, that's why I didn't vote which is following the guidelines the last time I read..
