16.0" WUXGA (1920 x 1200) …no oled or touch…not big issue
Cheapest non num pad Lenovo, I hate how the number pad offsets you from being in the middle of the screen … missing the old school physical buttons, but that only impact you if you use the track point.
Some review suggest not good value but that was at full price of 4700ish at 1799 with free shipping and in stock seems reasonable.

20+ hours at above minimum brightness

      Amazing

      What's the catch

      • Low res screen?

      • Well if you actually read the specs it's a 400nit peak brightness, but lower power usage display. Definitely not entry level with those specs.

          Unclear who/what you are replying/counterpointing

  • I would add the video card in the title. Saves people a click.

At $4k it's spectacularly terrible value (but generally RRP always is)

  • bad reviews

Some but other say it’s great. Sounds to me like dodgy drivers…seeing that I got this for my father I hoping like hell it was just that.

Non number pad. Lots of cheaper ones with them but then you’re offset from middle of screen.

    • How do you get it for $1299? The base 5600H model seems to be the only one not discounted.

EDIT: Well, that's weird. Clicked on the link again and now the base model is dicounted to $1399

  • $1887 Dell Inspiron 16 Plus has no numpad. Can reduce further with cashrewards/shopback and Dell K-12 discount coupons

Unfortunately the 12700H CPU results in very average battery life. Having a 3k wide screen will also hammer the battery.

    • Certainly worth a look. For my needs it had to be in stock and my father prefers thinkpads. I’ve also found that windows apps can still behave oddly with high resolution screens and scaling.

    • For 3D Rendering purposes, would you know if the RX 6500M > RTX 3050 Ti? (no intention for gaming at all, just for 3D Modelling/Rendering with Vray).

  • Can you add more ram to this machine - 16 GB soldered, but is there another slot to add more?

    • No, it's soldered LPDDR5. You can't get LPDDR5 SODIMMs.

  • Deal has ended

    • Cheers. Updated.

  • I am not a laptop person, seeing this almost the same price or cheaper than macbook m2 air(basic), which one would you recommend to get?

    • iPad
