  Hm… will unlikely be a sensitive device. Wifi will kill the battery super quick. Zigbee or BLE are more battery friendly options

    I like the Aqara ones. There might be better ones but they do what they need to and battery life is more than a year, maybe 2

      I installed my Aqara Zigbee ones on my 2 main doors in 2017 and still haven't changed the batteries.

    6-12 months with Tuya typically. Depends how often you open the door.

  If you don't mind notifications 1 hour or a day after the event (or never) then go for this.

  I configured the device, right after connecting and testing it worked fine.
  Next day opened the garage and never got notification.
  Another day I opened and got it 1 hour after the event …
  Can't be trusted for security if it isn't reliable.

    Just a thought.. Could be your mobile phone. Check if you get notified when your phone is not in stand-by. Check if your OS puts Tuya app to sleep.

      I have 5 of these, I got notification from one but not from the other (and that one was closer to the router with direct line of sight)..
      So if it was because of app settings I would expect no message at all and both delayed.
