  If you don't need the pin code entry you can get a very similar one for $30.
  I got two of them and they work well. Just don't install these where they get hit by direct sunlight as I've found this makes the batteries drain

    Yeah I have the grid connect one from Bunnings and if the morning sun hits the pin pad it starts pressing random numbers

    Tons on AliExpress and decent too. Bought 2, been a year so far, even under direct sunlight. Batteries last about 3 months, not a year like most write.

      The sun makes it do false scans I think. In direct sun my brand new energizer max batteries would run out in days.

      After placing a piece of electrical tape over the sensor the problem was fixed.

      So far batteries have been going for about 7 months now with one of the locks being used about 4-5 times a day

    That's not unique to the fingerprint lock. It's a vulnerability for any handle lock

      There's no lock from the inside so it's always open.
