A little more than it was recently ($7.19/$7.40) but this price should last longer.

Not a bad price, always missed and finally ordered once now, thanks op

sadly only usb 2 speed for data, but i guess if target market is phone users don’t think phones are much faster for data anyway.

240w USB C cables are not targeted at phones. It's mainly used for high power laptops where you need more than 1m of cable. Basically where you would alternatively use a barrel jack or non standard power connector and data isn't necessary.

  • I’m looking to replace the USB C cable running from my monitor to my laptop which charges the laptop as well as providing the display signal.

I assume this cable is no good based on the comments around it being USB 2
Can someone kindly recommend an alternative

      I'd go with a USB 3.2 gen 2 like this one https://www.amazon.com.au/AHGEIIY-USB-Cable-3-2-Thunderbolt/…

You need USB-C cable that support display which typically has data transfer speed of 10gbps or more. If I were you I'd get at least Thunderbolt 4 cable so you could use it for sometimes in the future in case upgrading monitor or laptop.

    • Correct. This cable is only good for fast charging and slow data transfer.

Previously purchased a 5 pack of these and found some of them hit and miss for an iPhone 15 charging cable. Sometimes it won’t charge and act as if it is just being connected to the phone repeatedly

    • Could be an Apple thing. I know my iPhone hates a lot of my cables but other devices/phones don't care. Test them if it is the cable.

  • So the code can't b used more than once? Is there anyway one can order multiple items @$8.66?

      Haha… the saviour!

  • is Lisen a good brand like ugreen ?

    • +3

guess not, i believe only Ugreen & Anker are in the confident zone

  • what type of cable should I after if I need to connect to the monitor plus charging on 60w + charger? thunderbolt 4?

  • +4

I had lisen and these are not good quality. The pin got stuck in the ipad port and ended up having to replace the port for $200

thanks for sharing feedback, saving $5-10 on cables not worth the risk of fire or plug damage

  • I have a bunch of these for charging things, but I can't find where I put the unused ones so I guess I have to buy 2 more

  • Would this have enough data transmission speed to use as a cable connecting my phone to my car?

    • Depends on what data you are transmitting to your car. Most cars still use USB 2.0 and it's fine for music and taking/making calls. If your car does fancier things with the USB connection than that (like running a second screen for the phone), this cable might not work and you would prefer a 3.0 cable. Of course many cars can connect to the phone wirelessly which could make the question moot. If the car has USB-C, it's probably just as much for the faster charging as it is for faster transmission

A few sources I checked say that many cars with USB-C ports are nevertheless still on 2.0 speeds

  • never heard of LISEN - reputable brand?

    • Yeah they are pretty good for charging cables.

If you're going to buy a cable 65w+ then you'll want something with a registered emarker chip in it otherwise you might as well use a heymix charger set 🔥

  • Bought this previously and after around 6 months of use some of the wires came out and didn't charge properly. Upside is Amazon service is great when it comes to refunds.
