Very surprised to see a multi tool at this price.

    It's $199 btw

    • sorry forgot to add that lol

  • I just wish they would get some 20v batteries in stock!

    • Had mine for 2 years, going well.

      • Is it 18kg? Or is that the total weight including all attachments?

        • Aldi description is always of total package weight, when you pick it up in store.
Not the weight of unit in use - with only 1 of 6 attachments fitted.

But as others here & reviews noted - it's heavy!

Try for up to 60 days - return if not suitable for easy refund!

It's very heavy. I can manage the line trimmer without the support strapping, but with the pruner and hedger, need the support strapping. The main body is probably around 16kgs without attachments.

        • It's heavy but not very heavy. That said if I can lift it up and I'm only 70kg anyone can. I've had mine for around 3 years and no issue.

  • Very surprised to see it at what price??

    • Its free. Just take it and go.

      /russell peters.

      • take it and go. lol.

  • Would the attachments work on a Ryobi expand-it?

I bought this and returned it. It is very, very heavy and cumbersome.

  • 18kg ? sounds way too heavy

      Lift. Do you even.

18kg would probably be the package weight with all the attachments and stuff. Wouldn’t know the actual weight unless you got one yourself.

      • Can confirm, it is probably close to that. Maybe 15-16kgs

60 day returns, so if you're not sure if it'll be good then buy it and return

    • 3 year warranty, OP should have put this in the description.

      • Yeh but will need something "wrong" with it under the warranty. Of course, they won't check so you could just lie. 60 day return can be for any reason though

  • Purchased one of these a few years ago. A bit unwieldy with the head of the unit being heavier that the motor end so a bit of effort required in using it.
The carby has an issue with mine and I can not find a replacement. Anybody know where I can get one from. Not interested in purchasing a whole new unit. Thanks.

    • Purchase new one
      Swap carby
Return new one because carb has an issue

It's quite a heavy unit… 18kg may not seem much but after about 5 minutes of use can get quite tiring… Otherwise if kept in a shed away from rain, sun and moisture it works quite well and can last a while…

    • +1

Heavy, but 18kg is weight of unit with all 6 attachments! So not as heavy in use.

  • I agree with others commenting the power tool being heavy. I just use my battery powered Ozito for general gardening.

  • Had one, returned it after flogging the backside off it. Very heavy, poor power to weight. Vibrated badly, thirsty on the fuel. All the things you'd expect from a cheap, generic 2-stroke. That said it is cheap and does work reasonably well across the board.

Expect zero resale value and spare parts to be hard to impossible to get.

    • Anyone know what Bunnings alternative will be on offer?

  • other tools on sale… missed the good old days when they matched with ryobi…

  • Got the battery powered one of these last time, it's great. Very powerful. Pity this un's petrol.

Way too heavy. Have a similar weighted one and I hate using it, just due to the weight, and I am 40 yr old strong(ish) healthy male. Only use it now for one-offs, lopping super high limbs with the extensions and saw. Blower a waste of plastic.

  • Looks like your standard shitty Aldi product.

Bought a similar one from aldi a few years back. Only used it once. as mentioned, it's on the heavy side. So, fine for 10 or 15mins of work every once in a blue moon… but wouldn't fancy using it regularly.

  • Had one for 2-3 years without major issues, it's a little hefty and the included harness was zero use as it was tiny. Only tool I've had issues with is the edger, the angle seems wrong somehow. Still works ok though.

  • Surely 18 kilograms is a piss take??
My 30cc 2 stroke weighs 4.8 with a full tank.

  • Sounds like something Andor would use.

  • 18kg? one in each hand easy.

So excited for the upcoming sequel: Edward 'FERREX 2 Stroke Petrol 6-in-1 Multi Garden Tool'-hands.

  • +2

Weight of unit without attachment 5.1kg.

Bought to try out on overgrown yard after violent storm 2 days ago brought down a tree. (Council removed it free next day.) Time to use the Pole Saw!

Thanks for pointing out the net unit weight!
