Same but when I did the transfer I only received 500 bonus points. Now the question is whether it's worth the bother to chase the extra points.

Yeah it looks like as soon as you turn on auto transfer, all your points get transferred.
In multiples of 1000 points.
If you don't want this to happen, convert them to RD first.
Yeah they'll take your entire lot (leaving less than 1,000) if you enable auto transfer.
You're better off waiting for a larger percentage bonus if you have a lot of points sitting there. 500 bonus flybuys and 500 velocity points is nothing compared to the occasional offers where they give you 10-25% additional velocity points for transfers.
If you have 200k flybuys points sitting there, even an extra 10% at transfer is 10k velocity points.

I have ~70k at flybuys points at the moment, waiting to see what promotion is best to choose. Do you know any from the past which have been good?
If you use your points for shopping at Coles, you could just convert all of your points to RD except leave just over 1000 in your balance.
