Bought this portable garment steamer yesterday from Big W Riverton as I needed to get wrinkles off a polyester dress that cannot be ironed.
$34.30 on clearance seems to be the best price currently. Also bought Distilled Water 2L for $2.30 from Coles.
Plenty of stock in WA. Less in other states.
Unfortunately cannot price match with other major retailers such as JB Hi-Fi ($69.95), The Good Guys ($69) or Amazon ($59) as they stock a different colour - green.

I got further discounts with 10% off with Everyday Extra subscription, 5 x bonus points for shopping at Big W and payment using a gift card.

Used the steamer last night and it was my first time. Did a small test on a cotton t-shirt and then the actual dress, both with the fabric brush attached. The steamer did a great job and the dress is now crease free. Had to top up once with the distilled water.

The portable steamer is ideal for travel. It is suitable for heat-sensitive and delicate materials such as silk, synthetics, cashmere, velvet and corduroy.
It wouldn't be a replacement for an iron as ironing works better on cotton and denim materials.

Fully detachable 250ml water tank for easy filling

Alas, no stock anywhere in SE QLD.

    • I think this sale has been on for a while as I was looking for this steamer a while back but there was no stock in VIC. Must be getting rid of all the stragglers out there!

  • Can I use this while wearing the clothes or will it burn me?

    • +3

you can, but I wouldn't lol

      yes, it will burn you

    • I've done it while wearing a shirt before. Works for stuff like your stomach that you can pull away from your body. Stuff like arms or chest, forget about it.

That small ironing plate on the front is the same as a normal iron, it gets hot and shoots out hot steam. I wouldn't use it while wearing. When I use mine I just hang the item on a coathanger off the top of a door or something.

  • How good are these?

    • It worked for my brand new dress and I'm impressed. I had washed it multiple times and drip dried but the creases stayed.

It's not going to leave you with a crisp shirt with sharp crease lines etc.

But if you just want to quickly get some wrinkles out without having to set up an ironing board then this will do it.

      • Used with no-iron shirts?

        • That's my intention.

  • Can you use normal tap water for these?

    • Scale builds up if you do due to minerals in tap water.

      @Daftg Detailed explanation here:

Distilled water is a crucial step in proper steamer care. Although you can use regular tap water in your steamer, doing so forces you to routinely clean the unit and can shorten its useful life. Once you understand what tap water can do to your steamer, you'll never use it again.

    • use boiled water

  • And it’s sold out in VIC

  • Worst steamer I’ve ever owned, do not recommend :(

    • Oh no. What happened?
Which steamer did you find is better?
I'm happy as it removed the creases on the dress.
Luckily I won't need to use it too often.
