From the angles of that shadow the sun must be about 5 metres above the ground!
Not a fan of Batwing freestanding awnings. Learnt the hard way that anything more than a slight breeze can destroy them. You need to use poles no matter how strong they're built. They're heavy because they're built stronger than a regular awning but you still need to use poles anyway.

the Nomad does have built in poles that drop down. I recently did a test on the Adventure Kings one and reckon it would withstand some brutal winds, the weakest part of the Kings would be the bracket holding it onto the roof rack.
The YouTube's have people hanging off the frames of alot of the free standing awnings so they look pretty strong normal days

These awnings are brilliant, lowest price to date. Sales must have taken a HUGE hit since Adventure Kings came out with their free standing 270 awning, which is also brilliant.
