(Un)surprisingly, this restaurant is not operated/opened by Japanese.
It is Singaporean.
i was thought that they are indonesians
Much of a muchness really considering the wealthier Indonesians generally send their kids to Singapore anyway.
the owner are indonesians
but the head chef are japanese
:)
and…?
Are you one of those elitist jerks that thinks that if the chef isnt japanese, then he/she can't cook Japanese food?
Thank you for all the inputs
we believe that the foods should be judged by the taste and qualities of it instead the person who actually cooked it.
That is why, we are very pleased to have all the inputs :)
Yes I am.
I especially hate those Chinese who opened Japanese restaurants which made crap food.
racist
I am Chinese too
so why u made that stupid comment?
I think you should stop these stupid attack on me and ask those chinese owner of japanese restaurant on why they can pretend knowing how to cook japanese food just by making a normal stir fry and adding sweet soy sauce or teriyaki sauce on everything.
If you like this kind of crap food then so be it.
it is racist comment, if you don't like being call racist then stop it in the first place, you don't have the right to tell me to stop what i want to said, as your comment is really irritating for some people in the first place.
I am sure that Japanese people can make japanese food just as poorly as chinese people, as they could make food just as nice.
You couldnt tell the nationality of a chef by tasting his food, else you would be making a lot of money somewhere for a novelty party trick.
OP - where is the link to this deal? It doesn't appear to be on their website.

Food quality is undesirable and overpriced. Maybe this is one of the reasons to sell vouchers in order to boost revenue.
They used to be crowded and food was ok when first opened 6 years ago, however the food quality has been drastically degraded recently. Now you can simply walk-in at night during weekends and there're plenty of tables. This situation is not unusual for a Japanese restaurant being operated by non-Japanese Asians.
If you insist to buy vouchers, strongly recommended to grab yourself a (trial) meal before committing into the vouchers.
thanks for the input
please come and have a trial meal
we are open to any suggestion that can make our customers happy :)
what should we say when we get there? (for the (free?) trial meal?)
Hi there
You still need to pay for the meal
however you dont need to commit yourself to buy the $100 vouchers
Thank You
Kind Regards
without buying the vouchers, then do you still get any discount for the trial meal?
hi there
unfortunately the discount only apply to the voucher
Thank You
Totally agree with hsct!
Recently went to the Liverpool st one and I think the management has changed. The sushi train is limited and all the plates are the same price, the menu items are also limited and when I ordered the Karage Ramen Tonkotsu, the karage was burnt and the tonkotsu soup tasted strongly of the water from the bamboo tin.
Makoto further down is a nicer option
+1 hsct's post - the quality have definitely gone downhill over the years and now it's nothing but just a brand.
I will let the management aware of your thought then
Thanks again for giving us this valuable input
Kind Regards :)
This is just advertising for the same deal that is a part of the SMH Appetite for Sydney during July promotion.

Yes it is the same
Thank you for bringing that up
:)
Well thats 3 people here that have been there and thinks its no good anymore, so I have made my decision. Come back when you have improved your quality and I think its going to take a much better deal for anyone to trial a meal. Im sure groupon was having Sushi buffet for $29, anyone got some feedback on them please?
Not a neg to the deal though, its a good deal just doesnt weigh up against the feedback.
Can I use this voucher for takeaway?
too expensive for me, i am looking for $30 get $50 value
