Ignore the crossed out $239 retail price. Other local retailers are selling it for $259 I have no idea why when the price was $239 at G-shock AU.
I think this is a good deal for local stock since it's cheaper than the cheapest Grey import $125 price from TictacArea (you also have to pay additional import fees when the item arrives in the country).
I found it on their eBay store with + $8 shipping, maybe you can bring it down with a targeted code that applies to certain spend amount. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/115669400077
The GMD-B800 is compact and lightweight (for a G-shock), the smallest model from their G Squad series (same series as the $299 GBD-H1000 deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/748738).
Dimensions are 50.7 × 45.2 × 15.5 mm and Weight is 52 g.
Could be an ideal gift for teens as it is on the smaller end as it has some cool unique looking digits and step counter data.
Yeah it's almost double the price of the model WatchNerd posted https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/752288, but with Casio's you pay a premium for extra features such as bluetooth/step counter.
Things to know:
- Negative LCD Display is harder to read than positive LCD in bad lighting (indoors)
- 200m water resistance rating
- Bluetooth Link uses G-shock Connect App and is for Time Sync, Stopwatch data and Step counter data. No notifications previews on this model.
- In some markets because of it's smaller size this is marketed as a "Women's model" which I think is clear in some of the colour options.
I think this colour works for anyone in my opinion.
Battery life is approx 3 years on CR2025. Which is good for a Bluetooth model and it can be changed by yourself quite easily if you are careful.
