Perfect for all those ozbargainers who work with 1000V equipment.

When I work on 1000V I can rest assured that my beneficiaries get an extra $31

i think having a complete set of handles is better than interchangeable ends. too much stuffing around having to switch ends all the time

good for saving space ill be keeping a set in the ute.

      • +1

nah, just get an aldi/craftright set with handles for the same price

        • +7

You're ignoring that fact that some people might prefer this for it's smaller footprint.

          • +1

            @magic8ballgag: kinda horses for courses

if i'm at home then i can use a complete kit like that $25 mechpro shit

but if i'm on a worksite i probably use the above or moire likley, something electric so i can get the phuqq offsite quick as possible

Agreed. I’m the glove box, beside my mini multimeter, jump start battery etc

        • +6

You’re the glove box? Start an AMA thread.
They’ll be heaps of questions coming your way I’m sure

    • +5

Definitely. I have a Wiha 6 piece VDE screwdriver and in the end I just swapped back to individual drivers. Using the interchangeable bits just becomes annoying when using on a regular basis. But for occasional use the above set would be ok, especially at the price.

    • Not really.

A different tool for every type of screw head type takes up space valuable space and weight in a tool bag, tool belt, pockets become extremely bulky.
It’s the difference between carrying 5 screwdrivers in your pockets VS 1 screwdriver and 4 pens

I have two of these types of kits with 16 different bits. Fits in my pocket easily and I can walk up to any cabinet, switchboard, household item and I have the correct tool for the job every time. No walking back to the tool bag, car, site sheds.

If I pick up a tool I am using it once Eg; 100 terminals require the same screwdriver, I prep everything and then terminate the cable. I’m almost never using more than two screwdrivers for any particular job so it’s no hassle to change bits a couple of times if your work method is efficient.

Would you buy a seperate impact driver with a fixed head for every different screw type, even if it was the same price? No. You rarely change the bit and if you do it takes no time to do so.

These types of screwdrivers are also double insulated. Vde bits inserted into a vde handle.

I had a $6 credit for some reason so I got 2 of these. The small footprint makes it handy for a few use cases.

    • Got $109 credit as the toolbox I bought the day before went on special, it tells you in your account why.
