  • anyone know what product to buy to clean engine bay (sand/beach from 4wd'ing)? a degreaser perhaps or that bowden's orange agent? And also would SCA rust converter be any good? https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/sca-sca-rust-converter--… Seems expensive for generic brand at $25 :/

    • Try bunnings for the rust converter.

    • Get the BO 5L, works out to be cheaper price per litre. Repco has it on clearance occasionly.

If all you want to do is get rid of sand, then you want a brush and a blower. Don't need to get it wet.

    • Agent Orange and a soft bristle brush is pretty good for dirt/grime, I'm not sure about salt spray but it's probably fine.
Sca branded spray rust converter is useless, it flakes off after a week and doesn't convert any rust. Also burns your nostrils even with a mask.

  • Hoping but not holding my breath that ebay prices get updated.

    • It was not updated on the first day but later during the boxing day sale.

    Anyone knows the differences?

    • $36.

Any recommendations? Apart from site reviews?

      • I bought the Britax Millennium for my little one a couple of years ago. It was top of the range at Baby Bunting. In hindsight, once the new born stage is over the extra padding in the bottom isn't really needed as it gets in the way as your trying to do up the seat belt bit. Britax offer free swap over if your vehicle is involved in a crash. It's an excellent seat and is very sturdy

  • Anything good worth considering? Was eyeing a bissel but it’s not down by much

  • Ceramic protection is 25% off. Does anyone have any recommendations for what brand to use?

Any recommendations for a good value tool cabinet?

  • Eufy prices have been jacked up.

    Sale price equates to RRP.

  • Car cover time!

    • the aldi one is pretty good, the one with the foam later

      • Mine's purely to keep dust off my occasional Sunday drive car, so not too worried about it.

  • Some of the Blackridge air products appear to be all 50% off for members. Not sure if this has been advertised.

    • How big a compressor do I need to run a pin-nailer?

      This brad nailer says

95 LPM average air consumption at 70 - 110 PSI for most efficient operation

And this compressor says 70 LPM. But it has a tank that it's putting air into.

Unless I'm going nuts on the nailer, do I actually need a compressor capable of outputting 95 LPM?

      • No idea sorry. I have an old GMC 2.5HP vertical compressor and it runs the brad nailers fine.

      • Probably not. But depends what else you want to do with it.
Spray painting is probably the main thing to worry about constant air other things if your willing to wait for it to build up again can probably live with.

I found with my 120lpm(i think) it struggles with a rattle gun for more than a few seconds

        • Thanks. That's about what I've determined. I can go up to the 135 LPM / 40L tank and the brad nailer should be fine. Wasn't planning on using it to paint but now you've got me thinking. Looks like the high pressure spray gun only needs 100LPM so should be OK.

          • @DivZero: Remember, that's free air. No restrictions in a perfect setting. Not with a bunch of fittings etc

It seems like the price-jacking theory is real. Checked Mobil 1 0w40 last night, $99.99 - $108 now down to $87. Usually get it for $80 when on sale. Was going to buy some Eufy stuff and add to the oil stash but now will not be buying.

Also check your rewards programs, I'm with NIB and got a further 7% off so all the air compressor gear I bought was nicely reduced after 50% sale - egiftcard arrived very quick for me too. Maximum of 3 giftcards can be used in the one order on supercheap, but you can choose your balance between 20-500 for each gift card on NIB rewards

  • hmm beware.. went to checkout.. it then gave me and error code and said to try again (sites busy) But my Supercheap Credit has now disappeared.. ugh

  • anyone have thoughts on the eufy security cameras?

  • I bought some stuff in store just before. Gave them my club membership details and I even got emailed a receipt, but was charged full price. Was in a hurry, and passing through the town, so didn't ask about the difference which was $20 or so after looking it up online.
Any ideas? Should I expect some credit back soon?

    • Today is online only, tomorrow and Sunday is in store and online. You should get credit

      • Perfect, thanks for clarifying!

      • Credit has already come thru. Perfect.

  • Son of a… i bought several items yesterday. The first time in months..
