We were doing our weekly shop earlier and I noticed Coles had the regular size bag (165g) on sale for $3.85 - works out to be $23.33/kg. Right next to it though I only noticed today that the party size (290g) is actually only $5 (since Nov 2022) - or $17.20/kg. This means the 165g when not on sale is actually more expensive than the 290g bag.
So even when 165g are on sale, you still get more spuds for your bucks by going party size.

Seems to be the same for all varieties.

      Yeah along with the 380g Smith's. Don't know if they will go on half price now that they did a 'down down' on them lol

        They no longer do the Party Size for 1/2 price (i.e. $3.50), as @Rain Cloud said they sell them for $5 Down Down. Only able to get them 1/2 price ($3.75) at independent retailers (i.e. Drakes/FoodlandSA/IGA)

    This is 100% me. I see chocolate on half price (maltesers and caramilk are my weakness) and I'll buy and devour a couple of block because I convince myself I'm saving money.

  Sour cream and sweet chili imho are the best chips money can but at colesworth. So good.

  Not quite the Sour Cream and Sweet Chilli, but if you can stand the heat of Chilli, then Coles currently has 300g (Big Share Bag) for $3.75 (https://www.coles.com.au/product/kettle-potato-chips-chilli-…)

  I identify as a ‘party’ for purposes of consumption of chips 😭 DAE just not absolutely DESTROY a bag of these super easy, washed down with a six pack of beer after a long day at work, then wallow in self pity and wonder where it all went wrong?
