Can’t comment on the experience of the device but seems like a decent deal. Just keep in mind this is 2 generations old iirc (they released a wifi 6 and 6E version)

  • Do they have the other deco models on sale too?

    • Deco x20 single $109.00 or DSL version $182.00

  • Using NBN50 atm - with this speed WIFI6 is non essential to me is that right :)

Unless you have a habit of transferring stuff between your devices in network…

Wifi6 isnt about speed, but more bandwidth. Not sure what the real world results would be, but theoretically better multi device simultaneous performance for streaming etc.

      • What's the diff between speed and bandwidth in the context of data transfers?

What do you mean by bandwidth?
The maximum amount of data transmitted over an internet connection in a given amount of time. Bandwidth is often mistaken for internet speed when it's actually the volume of information that can be sent over a connection in a measured amount of time – calculated in megabits per second (Mbps).

Sounds exactly the same to me, because 500 Mb transferred in 50 seconds means 10 Mbps (average) transfer speed.

Is it momentary (speed) vs average (bandwidth)? Practically no difference in everyday life.

If you are looking for Wifi 6E the Deco XE75 3 pack is available on GGC for $605. From my recent research Wifi 6E open up a 3rd bandwith that's 6ghz and can be used as dedicated backhaul between nodes which means there's no congestion as the frequency is used only between each nodes.

I got these a few weeks ago (same price) to fix dead zones in my 2 story block house with suspended concrete between floors. It's vastly improved the signal for my required uses, being streaming to the downstairs TV and a bit of PlayStation online.

  • How do these compare with Orbi?

    • Cheaper.

      • Got a friend who works at Good guys and he managed to an Orib triband for $200 :) happy days

  • Can these daisy-chain or do they only work as main+satellites, like the old models?
