[BACK ORDER] Nilfisk C120 3-6 PAD Big Accessory Pressure Washer with 1650W Motor $153.89 Shipped Amazon.co.uk

460

I've been looking for a Gerni with the Patio Washer, and found this one on Amazon UK that actually would ship to Oz. As a bonus this one also includes a drain snake and auto wash gear.

Nilfisk brand their gear as Gerni here in Oz (http://www.nilfisk-alto.com.au/Products/PressureWashers.aspx) and from what i can gather the equivalent model is the Gerni Classic 120.2 Pad High Pressure Washer. Harvey's have it for $399, Sydney tools the same but you do get some free stuff.

  • mmmm…looks good. but with all things from amazon uk, does it need a step down for the power?

    • +1

No they run on the same voltage. You just need a cheap adapter plug for the powerpoint.

  • nope, you'll need to either replace the plug, or buy a UK to OZ adapter. If you don't have one, they're about $10 from Jaycar.

    • +1

they are about $1 on ebay.

Hi, can I ask how do you find out what products Amazon.uk ships to Australia?
Do you apply a filter or you just try and find out.

      • Would like to know too. Is this something CamelCamel will do?

  • Thanks OP. just ordered one and Guaranteed delivery date is July 20 , 2012. sweet deal and great find.

  • So before I order one, just confirming the things it can do:

Concrete pathway (some have algae forming on them) ?
    Gutter ?
    External house brick walls ?
    Roof tiles ?

Useful for anything else qround the house ?

Always wanted one, but never got around to getting one.

  • Guaranteed delivery date is July 24 for me :(

  • $148.00 according to xe.com

    • Depends how you pay. Amazon conversion is a premium to say 28 Degrees card in GBP.

  • Anyone used the 15metre drain cleaner to clean a stormwater pipe blocked with possibly mud? How good is it in unblocking pipes?

Plumbers want $400 to have it unblocked with their water jetter. For that money, I could buy 2 of this and have $100 left.

Also, found this on Bunnings website: http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_product_gerni-classic-12… $399

Its a 125.2 as opposed to 120.2 listed on HN website in OP's link above ?
The 125.2 has a 1800W motor, while the HN model doesn't have any specs listed.

EDIT: OK, the 125.2 is a Bunnings exclusive, according to: http://www.gerni.com.au/Products/PressureWashers/ConsumerPre…

The 125.2 has a 8m hose as opposed to 6m in the 120.2 and pressure is 125 bar as opposed to 120 bar in 120.2

    • +7

Bunnings like to have exclusive variant models so they can avoid their price-matching "guarantee".

  • +4

Has been as cheap as GBP71.99, but this isn't a bad second best price.

    http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Nilfisk-Accessory-Pressure-Was…

    • I didn't know about that camelcamelcamel site - thanks. Could be handy.

  • All I need now is a 'Gerni' sticker to go over the 'Nilfisk'

  • Thanks OP, Ordered one (last one). It's temporary out of stock now

  • thanks. Got one on back order.

    • me too. Any idea how long we are likely to wait?
Transfer from warehouse, or next production run from China?

  • Thanks OP, I read a few worrying reviews, but decided to buy it anyway as I have yet to find a better deal.

  • I was able to get one along with the 30 mts auto rewind reel http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0046REBRQ/ref=oh_details…
freight went up by only 2 pounds.

    • Eighty quid for a garden hose!? I think I'll wind my own.

    • Not sure if it was 30M but I saw one at Bunnings for $88 or something like that

  • Does anyone know off hand whether using recycled/grey water with these things is a bad idea? Specifically is it likely to damage the unit? I live a new development, and all outdoor taps are recycled (treated) water. Obviously I could run a hose from a tap inside, but.. well.. just curious if that is necessary. Sorry, I did try googling for an answer, but it came back with fairly irrelivant results (my google skills must be off tonight).

I've personally used only rainwater in mine since day zero with no issues at all.

    • +1

most pumps like this will run reycled/grey water fine. It's usually when there are chemicals in the water that are an issue for the plastic impeller and/or the seals. For example, Davey make a specific pump for use in dog hydrobaths, designed to withstand the chemicals used in dog shampoos.

    • +1

Only be an issue if there are big solids in the water.

      • +2

        Well, if it's brown….

  • I tried to order the last Amazon UK nilfisk deal, and the courier rejected it in the UK, sent it back to Amazon and I was refunded. Had to ask nicely to have shipping refunded though. Did anyone else have this issue or did I get unlucky?

    • According to http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?ie=UTF…
Amazon UK (not 3rd parties on Amazon market) will only send books/audio/video to Australia.
Who has bought tools from there before?

This one is 14kg boxed weight according to Amazon. Is it possible yours was over 20kg?

    • things may have changed. Mine was just dispatched via UPS.

      • Ditto - mine is apparently now in Melbourne.

      • It may have been just a problem with me. I had a weird issue at my last place where all the address databases only had 10-14 as a valid address. We were 10 and our neighbour was 14.

Most bills were luck of the draw who would get them…

Anyway - it is possible that I asked for it to be sent to 10 and the courier didn't think it was a real address.

Glad to hear you guys got yours. I've moved house since, so might try again.

  • Just ordered one, where do I find the guaranteed delivery date? Do they send an email for that?

    • In the email they send after you ordered:
Delivery estimate:We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item. It will ship separately. You can cancel at any time.

  • i've never used this pump before.. one silly question.. where do i connect this.. to a tap or tank?

  • +2

Ordered one as well. Connect to tap.

  • how does warranty work since its from the u.k ?

  • Thanks OP, needed one of these but was put off by hardware store prices. Got one on back order

  • +1

Thanks OP, I have been looking for one of these but truly like mangoburger says I was put off by the local retailers price… some have given bad reviews, I hope I dont get a lemon :-)

  • Just went to place an order and the price has risen to 119 pounds. Cost plus delivery is now approx $200.

  • i've brought it few days before. but why amazon did not charge me credit card yet

    • Same here…..

    • They didnt charge me until i got email said my order have been dispatched

  • My backorder has already arrived. That's quick.

  • Fast delivery - under 3 days from UK to my door by UPS. Customs clearance done yesterday while it was in Singapore. (electronically, I assume.)

But the cheap buggers have not put an instruction manual in the box. There is an IKea-style quickstart, but not enough as I never used a pressure cleaner before. There is a CD in the box - with a START.exe - pity I don't use Windows. Found a PDF file fortunately. Still need to do some googling and visit the hardware shop for chemicals.

  • Got mine too. So just cut and replace the plug?

    • Yes. Safer than using an adapter. FWIW, they are not earthed.

The supplied manual (on CD) says you should use an anti-backflow valve on the tap. However the Australian website manual only says "NOTE: Connection to the public mains according to regulations.". Not needed here? (UK mains plumbing is quite different.)

I walked past a pallet of the $399 kits in Bunnings yesterday, and felt so smug.

      • So just neutral and earth?

        • So just neutral and earth?

Just live and earth would probably work.

        • Lol. Yes, live would be good.

  • Has everybody checked what they received? Just saw this posted on the Amazon site:

    Item Under Review

This product is not currently offered by Amazon.co.uk because a customer recently told us that the item he or she received was not as described.

We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you may still find this product available from other sellers on this page.

    • i got mine a few days ago and included everything as described just waiting for my adapter to arrive from china

  • Weird

  • Just got mine. Worked for about half an hour and then the motor stopped. Now I can't get the motor to start at all. I was using a plug adapter. Anyone have experience with returns to Amazon.co.uk or ideas on what to do next?

  • Overheated through long continuous use and thermal cutout tripped?
    Fuse in plug blown?

  • It wasn't a continuous half hour and I've left it for a few hours now but it still nothing so don't think it's overheating. Also, followed the instructions on http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/ELECTRICALBLOWFUSE.htm and the fuse looks ok.

    Thanks for the ideas.

  • What about those of us who replaced the plug with an normal non fuse plug?

    • Fused plug is just a UK thing, not required here.
Not so long ago, normal switches and power outlets were banned in UK bathrooms. Lights were operated by a pull-cord, and shaver outlets were isolated.

      • Cool thanks.

  • Cool. Emailed Amazon. They just replied back saying they're sending me another one and I don't need to send the broken one back. Good thing too as the cheapest Australia Post for sending 14kg is $150.

    • Did they need proof?

      • Nope. Just a single enquiry email and now I've got a new order in my history saying "Dispatching Soon". The email said "Normally, when we send a replacement for an item, we'd request you to return the original item to us. But as the cost of returning the item is more than the cost of the item itself, I'd like to inform that you may keep the item as our goodwill gesture".

It's very similar email to one in another thread on OzBargain http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/63267 so it seems like a standard response (although that one was just a book). It certainly makes me more comfortable buying things from Amazon. When I ordered, I was thinking it would be lost money if it broke as returns would be such a hassle.

        • What email address did you use?

        • Logged into the website, then clicked "Help" in the "Let Us Help You" links at the bottom, then clicked the big yellow "Contact Us" button on the right.

Did yours do the same thing?

        • Yep. But they are sending me another one and if they don't receive the original back within 30 days they will charge me again for the replacement!!! I have emailed them again but have not heard back.

        • Replacement arrived already! If I don't send the I'd one back they sy they will charge me for it. :(

        • how did you get on with your return?

        • Got a email yesterday saying that if they don't receive the broken one soon, they will charge me for sending the replacement. I don't know what to do.

  • Did anyone get an inlet filter with their box? I didn't get one, unless it was already stuck in the water inlet?
