Similar to the one (1TB) I posted earlier
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/74657

But this one is 1.5TB version and the price hasn't gone up unlike the 1TB.

DSE is selling it for $149
http://dicksmith.com.au/product/XM2196/seagate-expansion-por…

At the time of posting this deal, it shows $132.04 AUD in the cart. You may want to come back and check the deal again when dollar rises in value (it was $129 AUD when I checked it 2 days ago)

Note: this portable hdd does not use power adapter because some of you here get confused by that. This is not a dupe as it has different capacity compare to my previous post.

Pay another $40 and you get a 3tb

USB powered? This is USB powered no adapter required.

Losing warranty all for just saving $17 just isn't worth it. Add to that the time it takes to arrive and the risk of it being damaged or lost in the post. All for just $17.

You see $17, I see 8.5 gadgets from meritline!!! :)

    • +3

Agreed. For only $17 saving this is hardly worth bothering with.

still can't save so much, everytime my credit card company will charge me several dollars for oversea transaction.

Dose it mean $30 for every extra 500GB?
    500GB for 69
    1TB for 100
    1.5TB for 130

    • spot on!

    • yeap! I paid $639 bucks for my 10terabyte hard drive! It took a while though…the guy had to go out the back and stickytape them together.

  • Not that great of a deal I got it for around $140 In Jan but the item is worth it. Haven't used my A/C powered WesternDigital drive since.

I've just realized that ever since I started visiting Ozbargain earlier this year I've been addicted to three things:

    1. Meritline bargains
    2. Portable storage - Ext HDDs, SD cards, USB sticks
    3. Batteries

I have more of these things than I know what to do with. And I still buy them.

Free samples is another thing that pops up a lot, though I'm indifferent about them.

  • Would rather buy from DSE and have a local warranty.

    • warranty is void if you open them anyway
