Thanks. I’m gonna buy this for my Triple SLI 4090. I just ordered 3 4090s from Newegg.
I'd probably rather get EVGA 2000 G+ PSU, unless you'd power limit your 4090s.
I also found even the EVGA 1600 T2 is very noisy when loaded with 3 4090 GPUs, much noisier than CPU and GPUs combined.
that is an extremely good price!
Does this have a space heater mode?
Pair with a 4090 and 13th gen CPU for maximum heating efficiency
talking like AMD’s ones don’t heat up at all.
Nevermind, the real way to keep warm is to mention Intel's flaws and all the heated fanboys will save your power bill
13th gen is high wattage, almost as much as an NVIDIA GPU, and generate a lot wasted heat. This heat gets pushed out of your case, if you have good airflow, into the surrounding area, causing your room to heat up.
Super Flower is the OEM and its based on their Leadex platform.
So if you are idling most of the times, then you are burning more electricity. https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/evga-supernova-1600-p2-…
Test is done for P2 model where P+ is on sale. Slightly different version. I wonder if it would result the same.
at that high wattage, I would be surprised if they differed a lot at idling.
So an overkill vanity PSU is only twice the price of an excellent one? Nice.
With 4090 price apologists insisting 4x is perfectly reasonable, manufacturers are going to start trying to capture that ultra naive/rich market. Looking forward to $700 PSUs coming in 2023! 😂
Very good PSU, I am using one for my 4090 build
Also it comes with 10 years warranty
nice 1600w power supplies lol all set for 4000 series Nvidia cards the most experience video cards to buy and run. lets home you electric bills are not too high next year.
I want this, I dont need it.
The real question is why do you want it? It's overkill for 99.99% of situations, basically unless you're mining crypto you don't need this for any consumer level PC.
I read somewhere in lower power draw situation theres more efficiency, maybe better for lifespan as the psu isnt at load all the time with smaller psus and maybe less heat generated as well.
this is untrue, basically you want a PSU rating for around double your max power of your CPU + GPU, so that at full power its around 50% load on the PSU.
this is definition for 80+ plat:
"Platinum-rated power supplies are rated for 90% efficiency at 20% load, 92% efficiency at 50% load, and oddly enough 89% at 100% load for whatever reason."an 800W PSU will most certainly be more power efficient at lower power usage (<50W) than this all things considered equal.
What about when you want DEAD silence while gaming on a 4090? Still too much?
Do you think before you post or are you just a little jv clone posting nonsense.
This one or Thermaltake GF3 1200w which is ATX 3.0?
I know there is wattage difference but Thermaltake comes with PCIe 5 plug
I'm waiting on a ATX 3.0 PSU. I dont need 1600w.
Awesome. I can power 4 x BFG 7950GX2's!
Are there any bronze 1600W PSUs?
No. Why would there be. This is high end e peen category hardware.
Just makes me sad EVGA left the GPU game :(
had I not bought a new 12VHPWR 1000w psu from ASUS because i want a 4000 series card i would be all over this. Damn companies who use proprietary components.. and no i dont want no octopus sticking out of the GPU.
Does this PSU come with it's own 16 pin connectors to plug in NVdia RTX 4080/4090s or you have to buy the cable separately ?
If some one has this exact model, please advise. It doesn't say on the data sheet so I would say no.
You would need to buy a cable from cablemod, I bought one of their 16pin to 4x8pin pcie cables for my EVGA G2, works great. Cable cost around $70 delivered.
I am thinking these high end PSU's are in an overstock situation as the miners are now gone, who were the ones mostly using these. Also with the pending change to 3.0 16 pin power connectors, the distributor & retailers are not going to want to get stuck with them. So a good time to buy a high wattage PSU IMHO. Although keep in mind this thing will be HUGE, so you will need a case for it as well. Mind you if you are goinf for a 4090, a huge case is the only option you have, LOL.
Buy this for 4090 sli, post xmas gift sorted.
