We need 25% code for that 77”.

    • -1

      How?

    • Max discount would be like $300 though as usual… so hardly any better than this.

    • I've actually got a 30% off code for the LG store, so can get the 77 for under 3500 right now. Problem is I cant transfer the coupon to anyone which sucks, can only use it on my account. LG website also doesnt allow you to transfer warranty details.

      • Buy one!

        10% cashrewards as well….

    The 77 is particularly juicy.

The 77" is probably a bit big for Santa to bring down the chimney. Damn OzBargain for not preempting this by offering deals on Chimney extensions

  • What’s the discount associated with the codes?

  • +2

    Wow that's unreal $2k for a 65" OLED.

    77 ftw very good size.

    Big jump from the 65👍

What has been the best TV deal posted on here over the past 3 months.

    • +6

The CS 65" has been cheaper here.
The C2 65" (has a newer panel compared to the CS/C1 models) has also been cheaper here.

        • Just go buy some Kogan trash then

Ripped off!? 65 inch OLED for $2321 is insanely good value

Thank you for this. Im considering the 55 so good to compare prices of c2 vs CS

I wish, I had space for a 3rd TV, I would get the 77" in a heart beat. I have the 55 and it's such a fantastic product, very well built, my only issue with it is an inconvenience, I can't get CEC-HDMI to work with my Nvidia Shield, if it weren't for that, I think it would be perfect. Contrasting to my S95B, Samsung just aren't at that level of quality yet that LG and Sony would be. There isn't a single button to switch inputs, it has had sound issues (cutting in and out), the screen has flickered on/off, and the panel is so stupidly thin. I'm sure, side by side, this has superior quality and there would be scenarios where I'd rather have this, but I think 90% of the time I'd rather just have the larger size.

    • I had heaps of trouble using cec-hdmi with sonos speaker, either wouldnt work or start working after about 10 minutes. I tried several different HDMI cables until I found one that works, now no issues.

      • Yeah what I'm trying to do isn't about the eARC, I want my Android TV to power on the TV but it just doesn't, so I need to power them both on, makes no sense why it isn't working.

        • I have a C1 and a SHIELD and CEC works fine - try mucking around with the settings or a new HDMI because it certainly should work!

          • @lachhelix: Thanks for the reply, yeah it's such an odd thing, are there any settings you can share? I've gone through all of the menus and the only one is called "HDMI-CEC".

@conza: Let me try and get some screenshots for you

            • @conza: I have the same cutout on an LG panel with Samsung soundbar… used to be fine only just started happening

    CS….Bring me a G2 for a decent price peasants.

  • What is the different for this CS to mine C1? Thanks

    • +2

CS is basically a C1 shell & panel with the better processor of a C2.

  • Anyone else getting $1,000 Delivery for the 77”???

  • At roughly the same price how does this compare to the LG QNED?

For anyone on the fence, I can confirm that the 77inch CS at least comes with the newer WBE panels from LG Electronics.

From checking service menu, it looks like it comes with the 2021 EX Panels (probably excess stock from G1?) but not the 2022 EX panels which are meant to have the heat dissipation layer and larger pixel aperture.

    • +1

All CS models have the first gen Evo WBE panels. Older WBC panels are not in these. C2 and G2 have the second gen WBE Evo ex panels. A lot actually prefer the first gen Evo as it has less pink tinting on the sides of the panel compared to this years. Peak brightness is the same, its the larger windows (25-75%) that have a bit more brightness on the second gen panels, along with a better shadow detail. In real content you'll struggle to see the difference

  • Hmmm tempting but wonder if C2 sales are around the corner….

I think you’ll see some decent discounts in the Boxing Day sales.
Also, CES is in a couple of weeks so we’ll probably see what new models LG has lined up for 2023.
Will be interesting to see if they’ve managed to get even more brightness from their OLED panels.

  • Is this TV much better than Sony X90K 55”? Mainly action movies, bit sports, bright room, No gaming.

    • I would say a world better.

      • just realised the base is quite chunky. How do you guys wall mounted it? Also is LG OS flexible as Google OS? I want to ditch my old TV set top box

        • If you'll be watching mainly in a bright room get the Sony. If you do watch at night around 50% or more then rethink as the black levels aren't great on that Sony model. Sony does have better motion, clarity and upscaling (especially for 1080p content). OS on Sony is far superior. Its Google OS which is basically the android store with full options. LGs WebOS is limited for the amount of apps, although it does have the major ones. Also LG doesn't allow you to play any DTS audio tracks

          • @Whisper Quiet: how much storage is on sony and you can install any games/apps from google play store?
and it supports external controllers from other consoles to play the android games?

which monitor is good for gaming?

            • @pinkybrain: Thats a lot of questions lol. Its a TV version of google play store, so limited games because TVs dont have the processing power compared to phones for RAM or GPU. Would not recommend gaming off apps on TV though, only for a bit of fun. TV does accept some controllers but Sony havent said which ones, as they are not guaranteed to work and will lose some functions. A monitor depends on your desk, what you game with, how bright your room is, etc. Monitors are overpriced and always have far less picture quality. You'd rather get a TV to act as a monitor. As they have all the same features plus much more these days, for the higher end models (other than display port input)

  • Just as a reference point in case anyone needs it, managed to purchase a 77" OLED77CSPSA today from Harvey Norman for a straight $4000 (includes free delivery).

JB offered $4099 first, which HN then beat. No stock anywhere in SA so will be on order.

    • Mind sharing the receipt?

    • Seconded. @Tex Texan mind sharing the receipt? I’m ready to pull the trigger for $4k.

      • Can do, do you have your private messages turned on as can't seem to send you one?
