Sad they don't have 42 inch on sale

    • +1

They don’t actually have any to sell.

I’ve been waiting since Black Friday for delivery.

    • +3

      Or the 77” :(

      • +1

42 is popular because people use it as PC/Console monitor.
If you are after 77, you probably use it as TV more and there are other good options

        • True though this tops my current shortlist due to it being (much) lighter than others—I suspect my built-in floating entertainment unit has weight limits before it brings the plasterboard wall down.

  • Wen is later?

    • Says 5:30pm today local time for me at the bottom of the deal near the tags.

      • +1

Code is now live and works on C2

  • +3

Sony A95k 65" $3996 using the coupon. Then Cashrewards on top.
    https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/sony-65-inches-bravia-xr-oled…

    • This is a pretty good deal. I'd have gone with this instead of the Samsung on BF if the Sony was available for this price!

    • Had been doing such a good job at resisting!! Then I see this comment, click through and the next thing i know I'm off to pick up a new TV tomorrow 🤦‍♂️

CR tracked at $227 so, if all goes well, final price would be $3,769 (with $70 in StoreCash too).

      • Bargain! I didn't expect the a95k to get discounted over BF so picked up the a80k for ~$2.7k

  • Is it a good price for 48” c2?

    • $1622 delivered is a good price for the 48" LG C2, yes.

But for a little bit more ($1862 delivered) you can get the 55" model, so…

      • +2

Also the 55 is the smallest version where you're getting all the technology benefits. (55 and above are brighter)

  • Good prices if true but got burnt with their coupon business earlier in the week would also be strange for them to let the C2's go cheaper than the CS'.

That said the real bargain would be 20% off the $39,999 97" G2 :p

  • -2

We seem to be stuck with the CS "stunt model" here in AU. Not much promos on C2. :(

    • +5

Not sure what you mean, the C2 is cheaper than the CS atm

      • +1

It was not accepting the SAVE code previously so thought it wasn't working for C2 . They changed the code to AUDIO and now it works.

  • active now, just need to enter the code "AUDIO"

  • +1

Doesn’t work for any bose QC45

  • +2

Thanks OP, there are some deals here that smash the black friday prices, esp C2 and A95k. Wonder how much lower they will go after Christmas!

  • This or the S95B? Anyone owned both? S95B I can get for $100 cheaper

    • I just bought the s95b with the JBHiFi deal. To be honest would have gotten either one

    • Flip a coin. It's honestly so difficult to choose between the two imo.

The only thing I know that I'd definitely pick over the C2 is the A95k

    • Samsung has no Dolby Vision. Easy decision

  • Sorry, we can’t seem to find the page you’re looking for.

    When opening the c2 65

  • +2

Great prices on the C2's. Shopback doesn't actually list the promo code all though they do advertise the 20% off TV's (the same banner on TGG site). Cashrewards is 5% but doesn't list the code either or mention the TV sale. So both cashbacks might be refused but shopback seems more likely to be honored. Also cashback is not paid on the value of the gift card redeemed (if using 1). Reminder too that TGG only allow 2 gift cards to be claimed per transaction.

    • 2 per transaction? Who came up with that rule… that’s just stupid. Would JB HI FI match this deal?

      • Yeah it's a shocking rule, esp when it's difficult to obtain high value TGG gift cards at a discount. I should add the 2 gift card limit is online only, in store is unlimited.
Not sure if JB would match this deal, they are owned by the same company so maybe.

        • +1

FYI - called up and got them to match the price at JB HI FI.

      • I priced matched with JB Hifi and paid with gift cards in store, used multiple gift cards of different values.

    • Do you know if that 2 gift card thing also applies when buying through Reward Gateway portal? It says I can enter an amount between $5 and $5000 for Good Guys.
What's the maximum amount on a good guys gift card?

      • +1

Not sure on what the maximum amount on a TGG gift card is, I've had 1 for $1200 before. I don't believe there is a max limit to the sum of the gift card that can be claimed online, it's just the 2 gift card limit rule.

  • -1

Any chance it could be cheaper on Boxing Day?

    • +6

      Chance? Yes.
      Certain? No.

  • +1

How and when you get your $70 cash back when you spend $800 or more. I’m still waiting, nothing showing on my “digital wallet”

    • The GG Store Cash terms and conditions are a bit ridiculous, I've been trying to get across them recently…

The amount of StoreCash that you are eligible for will be credited to your Digital Wallet on the first business day after expiry of the Offer Period.

      Most current promos/offers end 6pm on 23/12.

Then, there's also something called Store Cash pay day…

StoreCash Pay Day is every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the Month

Also, if you unsubscribe from their marketing you won't get your Cash….

      • I know the StoreCash will be pay on 2nd of 4th every Thursday, but do we have to claim for the StoreCash or it will automatically show up on Digital Wallet after 2nd and 4th Thursday? How they can link Digital Wallet and my TGG account, is it through phone number?
I tried to claim StoreCash 3 times with date of purchase and Invoice number, it always shows invalid or something like that.
Only one time I suddenly have $50 shows up on my Digital Wallet and I really don't know why :|

        • +1

It just shows up, do not have to claim. The expiry on the store cash is pretty quick.

  • +9

I'd just like to point out that the "store cash" isn't that great. They only deposit it on the 2nd and 4th Thursday on each month. Then you only have 10 days to use it. TGG is betting on most people's credit being expired by the time they get a chance to use it as was my experience. If you think about it say you wanted to get I dunno a pair of headphones to go with the TV. You won't be able to do it straight away you will need to wait and then get it within that small window. I thought consumers were protected from this kind of stuff BUT that's gift cards that have to be 3 years. Store cash is totally different. Maybe you can buy a proper gift card with the store cash…?

    • +6

Yes spot on and it's also so ambiguous. The digital wallet has no barcode to scan or anything, the only identifying thing seems to be your mobile number that TGG link to your digital wallet (well I assume they do as they ask for you mobile when purchasing in store). You make your purchase and get no confirmation or anything that you met the criteria and would be paid on x date. And good luck contacting TGG if you have issues or your credit doesn't come through, they will lead you along until you get stick of chasing it and give up.

  • Wow, thats a great price for the 65". That makes me slightly regret my black friday purchase of the CS model even though it was slightly cheaper.

    • +4

If it makes you feel any better, the impressions I’ve read seem to indicate that the difference in brightness between the CS and C2 is pretty much negligible in real life.

I got the CS during the Black Friday sales too.

      • +3

I needed that. Paid $50 less for my 55 CS. Still freaking love it.

      • +1

Agreed, the difference would be impossible to tell in most cases. Still very much enjoying my new TV.

      • +1

I also bought a CS for ~$2500 on Black Friday, glad to hear there’s not actually that much difference, I’m loving the CS anyway but annoying to see an arguably better deal lol

    • -7

This is over 2k how is that a good price for the 65”

  • +1

Can we use ultimate home gift card with TGG online?

    • See other comment here - apparently limited to two

  • No stock of the 65" in Canberra :(

    • Can't you pay now and just have it delivered later when there is stock?

      • Yes, but the delivery date isn't until the 3rd of Jan. And I'd rather save $55 by picking it up.

  • Good prices - intrigued if prices will be lower for boxing day

  • Purchased the C2 65 at JB HI FI with a price match! Used $1500 JB HI FI vouchers from the Citibank credit card deal…. so came to $1200~ not bad.

    • +2

      🤔 show working 🤓

  • +1

Wow, why is the C2 so cheap all of a sudden. Brack Friday sales were so exxy.

    Also C2 > CS right…?

    • +1

CS has last years panel with this years electronics from what I have read.

    • +1

      Yep

  • Great deal, just got one, have to wait until end of December for delivery though. thanks!

  • +1

    C2 48” what a bargain! Thanks OP!!!

  • +2

Thanks OP, just got the C2 65" for $2.5k after the $70 StoreCash and (hopefully) 3% ShopBack cashback - regardless a steal without the ShopBack

    • +3

Update: Cashback has been tracked and added to my overview

    • Did the $70 StoreCash went through straight into your wallet. I can't see anything and it's been 4 hours I have completed my order.

      • +1

See below a copy paste of another comment:

If it just me or AUDIO is not working on most of the speaker products? Even though i click on the list of products it says it should be applicable for on their site.

Keeps saying "You have entered a duplicate promotion code "AUDIO".

  • Damnit, I just bought the 55” a week ago from JB at $2300!

    • Same, feel ripped off!

    • +1

You can ask them to refund the difference.

      • Why would they refund the difference? Also, I have a friend who works at JB and the best price he could get me on the 55 C2 was $2100… I also feel ripped off haha.

        • +2

Because JB refunds the difference if the price drops in the next 14 days after you purchase. But that’s for their own pricing. Not sure how it works with matching other stores

          • @illusion99: Be difficult considering the price on the website is the same as JB's, only a coupon code gets the cheaper price.

            • +1

@BROADSAW: Fyi. Literally just got jb to refund the difference on the c2 I bought early December.
I called ahead and they were willing to do it.

              • @Romanbirddog: Curious, what was the price you paid? And did they credit the difference to the discounted price WITH coupon from TGG?

                • +1

@BROADSAW: Price matched videopro for $2190 at time of purchase.
Told them about the gg promo of 20% off code on $2235.
They did a Price match/price beat for a partial refund down to $1836.
They said the $354 refund should hit my account in 5 biz days.

  • I got the 77" CS for $4,636 before cashback. Rapt, thanks!

  • Got a C2 48". Crazy cheap.

  • For those people who used the AUDIO code and also the Ultimate gift card from Woolies.
How did you do it? Did you first apply the 'AUDIO' code and then entered the gift card details in the credit card fields?
My recently purchased gift cards just fails to be applied at the good guys website

It always shows " Your Credit Card payment has not been successful. Please try again or choose another payment method."

    • +2

Firstly, is your Ultimate Gift Card eligible to be used at The Good Guys? Only the Baby & Mum, Everyone and Home are eligible.

Secondly, register your cards at www.myprepaidcentre.com.au to get the expiry date for use online. This is what I see when I login:

      Expiration Date: 12/2029
Use this date in the expiry field when making online purchases or adding your card to a digital wallet. Your card will expire 3 years from the date of issue per the terms and conditions.

      • @Master Bates (solid username BTW) do you know if you're limited to 2 cards only with TGG, per other comments here?

        • Short answer is, I have no idea.

Long answer is, I think the limit they are referring to is for TGG Gift Cards, not Ultimate Gift Cards. You use the Ultimate Gift Cards like prepaid Credit Cards, so I would expect that online you won't be able to do split payments with most online retailers. Instore it will be as many as the Customer Service provider is willing to process.

          • @Master Bates: Oh right. Yeh and I reckon that'd be the case re no online split payments….. cheers

  • Has anybody tried to price match in a different store aside from jb hifi?

    • +1

      Unsuccessful with Bing lee

  • Can I claim 28 Degrees Mastercard price protection for this?

    • If you're lucky enough to have price protection on your card, of course — that's what I did last night, will be a saving of $454 for me so far, and no doubt more savings to be had next year when the price of the LG C2 will reach the lowest levels once the C3 arrives on the scene.

Cash rewards is offering 6% CB today.

Transaction has gone through and pending.
Whether it will be approved or not I can't say.

    • +1

Whether it will be approved or not I can't say.

The code is listed on CR today, so I don't see why you would have any issues (on the face of it).

      Expires: Dec 15, 2022, 11:59:00 PM
20% off a range of TVs
      Coupon:AUDIO

    • Nice. Any idea if cashrewards works with latitude pay?

  • Did you guys choose door to door delivery? Seems C&C is only available in Wagga Wagga in NSW which is 400km away from Sydney…

  • +2

Price matched at JB. Took a bit of time for them but then finally approved.

They couldn’t promise on the delivery date as they had incoming stock but I hope I get them in the next two weeks.

    Thanks OP.

  • anyone know where I could find a new C2 83" for 7k or less?

  • Does this sale end on Thursday, boys?
