  • We are Australia's highest-rated manufacturer

Do you manufacture stuff? I ask because I actually do care about where stuff is made haha.

I was suprised when I recently discovered how much bacon at the supermarket is imported.

      • Same, a lot of them are from Canada

Oh far out yeah. Australia having to import food like bacon is just insane. There are some things, like bacon, fresh fruit, etc, that I just refuse to buy imported.

        • Thankfully the Aussie one I tried turned out to be the best tasting bacon I think I've ever had.

Do you have a suitable mat to use in a ute or trailer without holes to protect the flooring?

  • +1

I always wonder what the purpose is of mats with that hole design on them - wouldn't it be a PITA to clean because of dirt and crap constantly falling in the holes?

    • Grip?

putting holes in it would allow you to use a stronger material but allow it to give/be a bit softer. If it didn't have holes and you wanted it to be the same softness underfoot I'd say the mat is probably more likely to be easily damaged.

I like them for the shed. They are good at collecting dirt/sawdust, so it comes off your feet and doesn't go further. It collects the mess in the holes so you aren't standing in it or kicking it around. They keep small fasteners from bouncing all across the floor and dropped items are usually easier to find. They also have good ventilation, so any moisture that gets under them doesn't go all mouldy like with solid rubber mats.
Flip them aside to sweep dirt up, or just run a wet-dry vac across the holes.

Huh, your $7 mat is comparable to their $507 mat?

    • It’s a misleading and deceptive comparison.

It’s like comparing a $100 smart phone to the best and latest flagship phone.

      • +1

It's a 100% nitrile rubber mat. What feature is missing from the "flagship" mat?

@matshop. Is there any UV protection on these. Looking to use outdoors. Thanks

    • +3

Hi arsenal1, yes these mats are fine for use outdoors and are UV resistant for up to 3 years, they may discolour slightly then after that become brittle.

One thing to consider black gets very hot in the sun so if you plan on walking on these in bare foot on a hot day I don't recommend purchasing this!

  • so you cant really make a square area with this right?

  • Imagine cleaning them and the floor underneath.
