What do you know? I'm on the market for exatcly this….:)
@thsydney , Hows ur One-For-All digital Antenna. Are they any good?
I would have to say, rabbit antenna works fine for me. It cost me only $8 from Coles. You could save money heaps.
With this one-for-all digital antenna, I heard it's only a gimmick and overpriced too.
@cloud68, for me SV9380 is pretty good than previous DSE antenna. this particular support full HD, so work no screen lag on HD Channel. I just tested only few hours, so far so good and happy with my purchase.
Fantastic, thanks for the info, will check it out for sure
I saw this deal too as I was only getting a few channels from the crappy rabbit ears I bought and they were freezing up etc… Saw it at JB and the cheapest one available at Indro was still $99. Went to Kmart bought a 40$ Crest amplified antenna, works like a charm.
ALDI are also selling a digital antenna for $25 this Saturday, we will see if that one is any good first (60-day money back guarantee thing), otherwise will try this. We need an indoor antenna.
Don't know if it's the same one, but there's a One For All antenna advertised in the Big W catalog (starting this Thursday) for $78 (on page 3).
I have been using this for quite a while. I bought it for 130$ from JB Hi Fi. This is the best indoor antenna I have seen so far. The reception is really really good.
However, I tried to connect my T-Box and the TV at the same time but that didn't work well. I know that the tuner in the T-Box is not that great. So for the T-Box alone with this antenna the best I could get was about 21-25 channels. I always had to sacrifice one of the networks from ABC, SBS, SEVEN, NINE, TEN. I don't know why do they hate each other so much! ;)
If you want to use this solely for the TV then go for it without any hesitation. But if you want to connect anything else other than TV then buy a decent outdoor antenna.
The good ol' rabbit ear antennas seem to work better with the T-Box. I have one plugged into my T-Box hidden behind the cabinet.
That's disappointing to hear. I have an indoor aerial which is decades old, and has a dial on the front, if it's switched to one point I can get all but one set of channels, each click I lose a different set but gain another, so frustrating. But if my Radio Shack antennae is doing the same job as a $130 job, I'll stick with it lol.
I have one of these and if you open one up and examine the components its just a rabbit ears and fancy circuit board that basically does nothing.
The deal is for 20% off all antenna, not a particular product. Your post is useful, but does not need a neg attached….
If the 'fancy circuit board' has components on it, you will find that the switch does impedance matching of the antenna as you change channels, you adjust for best reception using the switch.
However your results will vary as you probably wont get a great picture unless the TV signal level is adequate.
.
All antennas 50% of at Dick Smith closing down store Macquarie Centre
So this doesnt have to be connected to a coax to get a clear picture?
2 antennas got married.
the ceremony was average.
but the reception was excellent.
