$89 but use code Take10 at checkout for it to come down to $79.
Says limited stock but who knows how many are left.

Probably better off with iGaging assuming you aren't going to buy Mitutoyo or Starrett
Had one of these before it was stolen when I was travelling overseas. Replaced it with a Mitutoyo. The Kincrome is perfectly adequate, never had an issue with it.
I’ve had an igaging Origincal for a few years now, it’s awesome.
Would I really benefit that much with this over my little plastic one I've been using for over 2 decades now?
I would think plastic has a higher chance of warping over time vs something made from metal so your measurements might not be that accurate.
that said - it depends on what kind of tolerance's you are willing to accept.
Just comes down to what you are using it for. Using it to measure out bits of pine? Fine, use whatever. Want accurate measurements to mill steel down to tight tolerances? You won't get enough consistency from a cheapy and will end up frustrated.
I've been using the $20 Craftright one I got from Bunnings for a couple of years now. It's been great!
Have had two craft right ones over 3 years and the battery mechanism somehow craps out on them. It’s fine I guess because eye reading to the mm is fine for what I’m using it for but they’re definitely made to a price…
I got a solar / battery duaL one from Sydney tools on last sale , was about $30,for when the battery is flat. Haven't had issues with Craftright one.
This’ll solve one argument with my wife.
🤣
where to measure from?
Don't know the quality, but lot of positive reviews… cost $ 9

just bought the metal version of this a week ago. does what it says. accurate to 0.05mm only so if you need more precise measurement then spend more. Be aware that the plastic one is accurate to only 0.2mm. For my use, I figured 0.2mm accuracy is not much better than my ruler. The plastic also deforms/wears down so I didn't bother.
try to buy analog caliper if it is cheap, those digital one never lasted more than 2 year even just sitting on the shelf……….(tired of all the shit ones i had over the past 15 year+ finally got myself a Mitutoyo, should have gone for it at the beginning..)
the accuracy probably wont matter that much if you are the kinda person asking questions here, but the handling feeling and quality of life stuff is days and night different.
I got this for $25 on sale
Is this really 3x+ better?

It is if you need to measure .1mm more than the one you own, the Kincrome is 200ml
