  FYI this is only 200-225 lumens. this is what the beam looks like, a tight long beam, and a wider (but weaker) surrounding beam.

  The flashlight is ok (it is BRIGHT!!!!), but the threads wear out through use. You need an 18650 battery to make it run

    that picture shown is what 18650 battery output
    regular AA size battery won't have that sort of lights

  This is an XR-E, so old tech. List price is a joke.
  Now you want XP-G or XM-L . e.g. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/74548
  Way more lumens for the same power, or less heat, longer battery time.

    As you can see from the above link, your truly also upgraded from the XR-E as I believe the XM-L would be much brighter and more efficient.
