A Telsa is the closest I'm going to get to a Tesla, except maybe if I'm calling from my Telstra phone will driving my Telstar

  • Just bought this Vektro V300 for $257.55. Not sure what's the difference.

I have one of these, its ok for leaves but I find if you try to suck up random patches of sand/dirt from the bottom of the pool for the most part it just gets diluted back into the water and doesn't really stay in the compartment.

With that said, the battery still holds its charge really well after a couple of years.

hey rep how does this do against black algae especially growing on pebblecrete steps?

    • +4

With black algae on pebblecrete your best bet is to first ensure your water chemistry is in top shape with chlorine on the higher side if possible, and to brush it up using a stainless steel metal brush (like this one applying a lot of elbow grease to ensure the top of the algae is destroyed. Once the algae's top is brushed you could apply black spot algaecide to help the process out.

The water chemistry is important. Often a lack of UV block or pH out of balance can help the agae to foster. The best is to test the water in your near pool shop to ensure nothing is being missed.

The telsa 50 can help a little, but with black algae the stainless steel brush is key as it destroys the protective layer.

  • Is this good for very fine dust?

    • It depends. For debris like sand it is good. For super-fine dust you'd need something with a much finer filtration system like the Kokido Voltera 75. Its last stage filter are superfine, with equivalent porosity to a cartridge filter.

Sounds like an ideal woman to me.

Former pool tech here. I really wouldn't recommend these things for anything bigger than a spa, or a smallish plunge pool.

Anything bigger, it'd be like mowing your lawn with an edge trimmer.

Sure, good point. This is not to replace an automated pool cleaner or a robotic one. It is great for a spa (that stubborn sand or small debris that accumulates…), or to spot-clean a pool.

      • Yeah, absolutely agree. Spot on with all points.

Can you attach this to a pole? also any chance of a deal on the Kokido Voltera 75?

    • Yes, it can be attached to a pole (on the product page there is an option to include a telescopic pole).

You can use the coupon 'VOLTERA75' for $30 off the Voltera 75
