  • good deal, was availble on woolies on black friday week too.

    • ?

    • on Fuji instax, the one in thumbnail

      • Well, JB Hifi has it on special for $109 - various colours and most stores in my area have them in stock. So not sure if they have jacked the price or not. I'd suggest shop around first

      • Amazon had them for less, $92 I think. I bought the green one last week for $87.

  • DD sent an email yesterday "LAST CHANCE! Black Friday Sale ENDS Midnight"

These guys must have Kogan level inventory problems

    • +4

Doesn't seem to be an issue with overstocking. A more common complaint with them seems to be the lack of stock where they sell items that they do not have lol.

      • That was the case from oversold bf product for me…

    • +2

Digidirect sell decent brand products tho

      • +2

selling decent brands vs fulfilling orders are two separate topics

        • +1

I’ve never had issues receiving orders from them?

          • +1

            @kev98: @eecan says otherwise

            • @Magicmannn: And I say, just like @kev98 , I have never had any issues with digidirect.

            • +2

@Magicmannn: Depends on what he means by issue I guess. I will still happily order from Digidirect if they can beat everyone else on price as you'll still get the item eventually. If I need something urgently I check with them before placing the order and look elsewhere if they are on backorder.

              • @eecan: how long does it take to fulfill backorders or do they just cancel it?

                • @Magicmannn: You have the choice to wait or cancel the order. Sometimes you get a voucher if you agree to stay on the waitlist.

Instax Wide Films 10*2 packs is $36 which is quite cheap. Did wonder for our wedding pics! Got 2. Thx OP.

Just some personal experience to share. I ordered an Instax Mini 90 from them in September. They sent me the email, oversold. Cool, I accept that. They give me a $50 voucher "as reward for your patience". Then I use that voucher in my next order for Fujifilm xs10 in October. Oversold, again. Then, I decided to cancel the xs10 order (they wanted to offer me a $20 discount this time). I asked them for a refund but no one comes to me. I called them several times and I haven't gotten my money back.
PS: it seems they have a different team working on the online and offline stores. My experience in the Melbourne store was quite good.

    • U manage to get hold of online support ?? When was your last contact ?

      • middle of November. made a call to ask for a refund. The staff made a promise and sent me an email to confirm that. And that is it. The promise is all I have.

    • Folks in the Melbourne store are great. No complaints there.

Was told the online store is serviced out of a NSW store - not sure which one.

  • did their prices get jacked or nah?

    • I dont know about the prices being jacked, but they definitely remove a lot of items I've looked to get.
Even though the items are listed on their site for sale.

Almost bought the wide instax pinter. Great price but I already have a mini one. Must resist buying unnecessary things

    • Just looked into this as it seems like a great Christmas present, but the regular price for the paper is $45 for 20 pages? The running costs seem awfully expensive…

      • +1

Yeah ongoing costs are way higher than the mini where you can get it on sale regularly for ~$1 per film

  • +2

thanks. got one of them r6 ii that i totally needed

    • That’s a great deal considering hardly any store is doing discount let alone 20%! I think they forgot to remove it from the eligible list LOL.

      • nah they do this sometimes.

  • +1

Too bad they don't sell gpus

    • +2

      or houses

      • +1

Trains, planes and yatch. Whats the go with that?

  • +1

    Fujifilm X-T5 available?

    • +1

there was one with the kit lens but I'm guessing stock depleted.

    • waiting for this too - body only - probs get uploaded to ebay store in a month or 2 I'm guessing, after initial rush/more stock?

  • always a great deal to be had in there.

  • Item I bought during black friday sale is out of stock (website showing in stock still). Other colour options (bag) are also out of stock but all showing in stock. Been chatting to their customer service online and to swap to a diff colour, they want me to pay the difference for the same item as "black friday sales are over". If possible, deal with their way better in-store rather than their useless online store which doesn't show correct stock…

    • When was the last time you spoke to a support team ?

      • This morning lol

      • Their support team is useless from my experience

  • Has anyone ever got hold of digidirect support line for online sales ?? No one is available at all…. What a fail of a company

    • Called..waited for 30mins then said no one picking up. Their online chat was better but also took some time.

      • If you oped in for a call back before you wait, you get a call back much faster for some reason.

Their IVR has a 20 min wait time on it and no one ever seems to pick up

Digidirect are a good outfit that usually has excellent prices (especially during sales). The staff at their Cannington store are always pretty knowledgeable and helpful and the the QFFs and Cashrewards are a bonus. My biggest gripe with them is that on their website and EBay, they don't indicate if an item is in stock or not, so you can order something and then get an email off of them stating that the item is not in stock and they don't have an ETA. That's ridiculous (although they do offer a gift voucher if you're prepared to wait). Case in point, I ordered a Sigma lens for my wife for Christmas during their recent BF sale. Their price was excellent but it's not in stock and they had no ETA! They offered me a $50 voucher but I declined and cancelled the order. I managed to get the lens from another supplier on EBay for not much more - but no QFFs. From now on, I'll be calling them before ordering to ensure that they have stock.

I think there's a big difference between their brick and mortar stores and their online stores. The online business are muppets.

      • +1

100% agree with this. Their stores are run much better than their online. Cannington in WA is also very good

        • +2

To be fair, it's not just them. Other online stores have similar complaints from time to time. Check out the feedbacks on Ryda, No Frills, Georges, Camera Store Aust, Sony… Similar comments about either out of stock and they cancelled, or they just did not ship and have to be chased, slow responses… which I agree as I also experienced myself.

Honesty digidirect has the worst customer service

    • +1

I've purchased from them in person in Brisbane CBD a couple of times and also online + through ebay, and never had a problem. The staff I've dealt with in store are very helpful!

      • My experience with them is that their store staff are in a different league to their online support people.

        • +1

I’d say my local store in parramatta NSW were on par with the online crew, not helpful and rude. I’ll never buy from them again.. but that’s just me

      • ditto

    • +1

my experience has been good at the brisbane store

    • I had good experience with them. Almost all of my camera stuff from Digidirect. I only visited their Sydney city store and Bondi store, both great.

  • What I can buy actually?

    • +2

How much you have money actually?

      • Not much for dd I guess. #sad #blackfridayaftermath

  • buggar at selected items i had a fluid head and gimbal ive been looking at. guess will see what deals are on boxing day

  • I bought an item from digiDirect on the 24 November during this promo and they haven't shipped the item and customer service is non responsive.
Won't respond to emails and the phone lines stays on hold and goes to voicemail.
Guess the only way to atleast get my money back is to initiate a chargeback.
