Amex have a virgin velocity no fee card. that earns somewhat decent VFF points.
same with Qantas, and i think even their own low/no-fee card.
But their fee cards are still pretty worth it, the Velocity platinum comes with a free domestic return flight each year and Travel insurance (domestic or international) when the flights are booked (although i think it needs to be 1 x booked return flight, unsure haven't really used it)
Weigh them up, but AMEX cards have definitely come a long way in the last 5 or so years.
T&C does not mention about exclusion of Apple gift cards. Does it mean Apple Gift cards OK?
Usually it does exclude gift cards, but Amex has no way of determining what you purchase, so they always go through with the cashback

Most Platimum deals yes, but not always. We use it for business so the spend is pretty high. Don't know if that helps or hinders with getting targeted deals…

Hi Mate, in regards to the screen repairs insurance by Amex, will it be valid for the lifetime of the phone eg. When I bought it outright or the plan has finished in 2 years time, but I then continue with prepaid ? I read somewhere that you are also qualify if you already in middle of plan which past payment paid by different card.
So I was wondering if I paid $800 using the card and the rest with gc, wouldn't it be the same thing ?
