    • This $80 voucher actually got stacked to the $4.99 annual subscription and $20 voucher. It was a delightful Christmas present..😊

      • yeah I bought the annual subscription too early and paid $49

    • fk, i missed it, still have unused $80 voucher

  • +2

I have one question can I pair this with my mw3?

    • +4

Buy first. Ask questions later. A true ozbargainer.

      • +1

Buy first complain it doesn't work later

        • +1

Direct your compaints to whingepool please.

    • +1

Yes it'll work. I have the exact concoction.

    • Yes you can

  • Just bought the 3 pack for $100 2 days ago :(

  • +3

    This vs the Deco M5?

    • +1

      Need to know too

    • Reputation wise Deco for sure.
Have never used Tenda products though.

  • +1

Terrible vs Google Nest / Amazon Eero. Have tried them all and Eero rules

    • +7

But a 3-pack Eero is $389.00. This is $80.80 mmm

      • Google Nest router was $66.99 other day. AC2200 vs AC1200 and with much better range too.

        • Shame about this minor detail

          https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Wifi/14150-376-3…

          Mine went back within days.

          • @scuderiarmani: I'll test it when I receive mine.

4.5 vs 4.2 rating for Tenda MW5c on Amazon suggest there are more issues with Tenda than Google Nest.

          • @scuderiarmani: How sure are we that those people weren't just having regular NBN related issues which have been rife lately. If it's just a bad firmware update it will be fixed soon enough

            • @Budju: Not NBN related. I returned mine within days. 100s of micro drops in a FTTP connection that's never had a fault.

It's also not Australian specific. It's a worldwide problem.

Also Google is VERY slow and lazy with updates.

        • +2

In my experience its not about the speed, i think theres some really good coding going on.
My Eero has worked flawlessly for 2 years.
My Tendas in another place constantly have issues with near range wifi, where long range is better. Its like theres some shonk coding going on when its switching. Could be wrong, if you can get it on amazon free returns at least

    • I'd take a string and cup over Google Nest in it's current state…

      • My primary puck decided to brick itself last night. Took it as an opportunity to upgrade to the deco s7 from the good guys commercial for $182.

        • I've switched to TP Link too, X55. So far, only 1 minor drop, but ok otherwise….

Had to replace switches as they don't like D Link ffs.

Isnt' eero 3 times the cost of this?

  • We have Telstra 5g at home and then currently using two x google wifi gen 1 to get coverage throughout the house. When on the Telstra modem directly I was getting 360mbps uptime. When on the google wifi only getting around 60mbps. Will this unit one get better speeds? If anyone has experience with this unit on actual speeds that would be great.

    • Doubt it

  • Does it work well in a townhouse with concrete walls?

    • +2

      Compared to?

      • A netgear router provided by isp. Not at home currently so unable to get the model number. It’s located in ground floor and wi fi speed is good. However it’s so less in first floor. It’s rented house and doesn’t have ethernet points in first floor.

        • +1

It'd be better than the provided one. Mesh will get more coverage with multiple units but these are pretty cheap to begin with. The google home and other ones are $300 plus. So it might not be amazing but people have had improvements compared to a single router.

  • +1

Whats max real world speeds you can get on wifi with these?

    • +1

They should saturate a 100 or a 250 NBN connection pending vicinity to Routers, internal data a different story.

      • Oh so it still matters how far away from router you put them which depends on the speeds, was thinking it was like one network with same speed across the mesh.

        • All Routers have range. It's not infinite and even

  • Does it work connecting directly into nbn box?

    • Tenda Nova can be plugged into the nbn box with most ISPs except for TPG and iinet. Who are you with?

      • Aussie Broadband

        • It works with Aussie BB.

  • +1

Great price, I’ve had these for about a year now and they have worked flawlessly.

  • +1

I need to buy a house big enough to use this wifi mesh, LOL

  • Damn missed out on the 3 pack

  • Can anyone tell me why when I set primary node to bridge mode, the front indicator light turns red for primary node and two other slave nodes but I can still access internet. It does not make sense.

  • I have the tenda nova mw6. Moving to new place soon. Can it be connected to nbn directly or do i need a modem. The provider spintel says i need a vdsl modem.

    • You still need a modem.

    • I am with spintel and i am using tenda directly. No modem required. I can setup pppoe directly on tenda.

    • Only purchase a VDSL2 modem for FTTN and FTTB.

The nbn boxes are supplied for FTTC, FTTP, HFC and FW.

      FTTN, FTTB = VDSL2 modem + Tenda Nova MW6.
FTTC = nbn NCD + Tenda Nova MW6.
FTTP, HFC, FW = nbn NTD + Tenda Nova MW6.

      • +1

Mine is fttn. Will need a vdsl modem then

  • Parental control doesn't work accurately. It just completely blocks access always even if I set it time based.

    Back in stock

  • Both packs are back in stock @ rate in listing.

  • Do I need to buy anything in addition to these to get them working? Or I can set them up and extend my wifi once they arrive?

  • These are great have had ours setup for over a year now, the extra coverage is amazing
