Got it thanks, this should be the direct signup link to test if you're eligible :)

    • +31

Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only.

      aw damn

      • +21

Why so many likes? Everyone invited but me?

        • +10

          Everyone invited but me?

You literally replied to my comment about me not being invited…

          • @CodeXD: He/She's pre-empting you getting upvoted into oblivion?

      • Same! Bummer. I wonder what it's based on?

        • +3

Generally, it's about how much you play "hard to get" with businesses. They get a boner for you if you do that.

        • -1

          Not you apparently.

    • Thanks, had the offer there waiting.

    • +6

King stuff. I got it on one of my accounts. Set a reminder to buy it on 19 November just in case there is an upsized ShopBack bonus to double dip

      • I thought shopback had said ebay has stopped double dipping? Or am I mistaken?

        • Maybe, not sure. Worth a punt though. It worked for me when I signed up 8 months ago or so. So maybe they fixed it since then?

      • The offer indeed says End date 20/11/2022.
But also mentions offer period is available for a limited time only, for as long as the offer is advertised on the eBay.com.au site (“Offer Period”). eBay reserves the right to cancel the offer at any time.

Does that mean we need to pay $49 today itself or there is no risk in waiting a few more days?

        • 99% off promotions ever made have the clause that they can terminate the promo early. Should be fine to pay the $49 the day before the end date

    • +2

It shows "You've accepted the offer "Get a $80 voucher with eBay Plus" directly after I clicked on the link. However it also says new members only. I used my trial and signed up for one month last year. Not sure if that will make me ineligible in the end.

      • +1

        I read that as
complete your 30 day free trial*
is required for new members only.

        p.s
The button label is Start Selling, I assume they forgot to update.

      • +1

I got the 'Youve accepted the offer' page when clicking the link.

Talking to the help they said to me:

"I am not able to find the promotion in your account, May I know where did you find the promotion in your account?"

        —So beware.

        • +1

I found it on the home page banner (but not elsewhere)

          Screenshot the banner
Screenshot the offer page that it takes me to

          • @SomeGuyOnOzB: Yeah- it appeared as a banner on my main page now (I looked earlier and it wasn't- it is now)

            Thanks.

    • +3

So I got the offer when I clicked your link…

But the question is, do we HAVE to do the free trial first and then pay for the yearly membership to be eligible for the 80$ voucher?

I've already had ebay plus before so it's asking me to pay for the membership fee immediately. Not sure if it'll still trigger the voucher…

    • +1

i didn't receive the email, but clicking the link above, it says "You've accepted the offer".
      but the T&C says

This offer is only available to the select users who receive an email communication that contains the offer (“Eligible Users” or "you")

      • +2

Yeah I mean I went thru the process and it all went smoothly. Said wait 10 days for it to go into my eBay account. Worked for me.

I doubt they will care as long as they are having people sign up. Especially since some people get "you're not eligible for this offer" or similar

I've never had eBay Plus before so likely helps.

        • Where did it say wait 10 days for it to go into account? i signed up and didnt get anything?

      • +2

        Check my.ebay messages
The offer was there and valid, but I didn't find an email in my junk folder.

        • This is the way!

Twas the same for me too - Pro tip! Thanks Paul!

    • +2

You're a legend for posting that link, cheers!

    • On one of the accounts I still see the $20 banner, But by clicking this link I was able to accept the $80 voucher.
Now wondering if I would actually get the $80 voucher if I was to signup because Banner still says $20.

and eBay CS is totally ridiculous and unreliable

      • did you? i accepted the $80 offer, and i have a $20 link too… wondering if this would stack

    • +1

Checked on 7 of my emails. Didnt get on any of them :(

    • +1

Worked for me, this one is actually worth it.

    • I used this link, was eligible and activated, then went and paid annual fee but no message about a voucher after signing up. Will have to wait and see if it comes.

    • +10

And for those who want to be doubly sure that the offer has been tied to their account before paying, go to this page: https://www.ebay.com.au/mys/overview

    • +2

Worked for me, thanks. Can see it activated here https://www.ebay.com.au/mys/overview

"Further to get the $80 you will need to sign up from the email you have received for the $80 voucher. Even we have sent a copy to your eBay messages for the sent offer."

sounds like NO EMAIL -> NO $80 VOUCHER…. the link posted on this comment not actually confirm $80 voucher even it is green.. that link is more like error messed up some SALE link

    • Thanks for that, I'm ineligible but saved so much stuffing around!

    • Thank you for your link, @doweyy.
I was able to sign up, only because of this.

And yes, I had resisted eBay Plus, all this years,
but this $80 voucher tipped me over!

I need to buy new h7 headlights. How do I check if an item is eligable to use with the 80$ voucher?

    • +1

Exclusions are listed in @Himlord's post. If the product is listed in the Cars, Bikes, Boats category, you'll be out of luck. Occasionally, the same product can be found in different categories from different sellers though.

    • +3

Don't forget if it's anything like the previous vouchers it's not an $80 gift card, it's a single use discount up to $80 so if you don't use it all at once you lose the rest.

(Nevermind, just saw your product link is over $80 ;)

      • Sign up to eBay Plus Annual Membership ($49) & Receive a $80 eBay Voucher

Hm… I might finally have cause to sign up.

it's a single use discount up to $80 so if you don't use it all at once you lose the rest.

        Nope.

    • +1

Also, I was told by Customer Service that the voucher won't be available until November.

  • +1

Hmm, just signed up with the $40 Cashrewards offer yesterday. Anything I can do about that?

    • +3

      No

    • +1

Click the link anyway and see if you are eligible.

      • Yeah, I’m eligible and I’ve added it to my account.

        • +15

Oh, I was hoping you won't be eligible and that'll make you feel better.

          Nothing you can do now.

          • @CodeXD: Forgot to put your lottery ticket in? Check the numbers to feel better!

    • +1

      $40 Cashrewards offer

      Say what?
Cashrewards has no affiliate agreement with eBay.

      • It's Shopback, currently $15

        • Oh damm i forgot about SB

    • +2

sign up to another one to bring down the average.

  • +1

Is it new customer only or will it work if we have 1 month running?

  • +3

    Nice! Eligible!

Wasn't going to get it again unless I got a 50 voucher, but this is even better!

  • Somehow eligable but signed up for Monthly so have to wait for that to cancel and then ill try go for the yearly sub.

  • -4

Just by looking at this offer. How sad ebay has been doing recently especially ebay plus

  • +1

There's a "new members only" clause and specific language about getting it when you pay, after your 30 day trial. So probably won't get the voucher if you've had an eBay Plus membership before.

    • Same thoughts. But given a few people are ineligible, it might be everyone that's eligible.

    • +1

I have got this voucher, and i was a ebay plus member before (but it's been over a year) so maybe thats what they are targeting

      • But when you signed up did you get the trial again or did it ask you to sign up and pay members straight away?

        • +1

          pay straightaway on mine

        • i got the same offer but has been an eBay plus member - just expired september 2022.

I tried accepting the offer and this is what I got

You have already tested eBay Plus for free. If you sign up now, the membership fee is due immediately.

I'm unsure now if I should go and proceed and still get the 80$ voucher as I'm not a new member anymore.

    • +13

      The wording is as follows:

Congratulations, you’ve successfully accepted this offer. Sign up to an annual eBay Plus membership now, complete your 30 day free trial* and pay the membership fee. Limited time only. $49pa. *New members only.

I read this to be that the 30 day free trial is only applicable to new members. Not the $80 deal.

    • +3

That's not how i read it. If you're a new member, you get the 30 day trial, otherwise your don't. That's why the asterisk is on the phase "30 day free trial" and not the whole offer.

  • uggh this would have been good with the G Pro Wireless deal the other day - dammit

  • Voucher is sent after 21 Nov

    • Mine said it will appear in my eBay account in 10 days from now.

      • Hi, where does it say that? Thanks :)

        • +2

So the process I used was:

          1. Click link that doweyy posted
          2. The offer said congratulations you accepted the offer
          3. Clicked to link to Goto purchase eBay plus
          4. Used PayPal as the payment method
          5. Put in PayPal username and password
          6. It came up with successful page, and on that page it said "you'll get your voucher in your account in the next 10 days"

Wish I'd taken a screenshot, sorry.

          • @Quantico: Thanks for the reply. For some reason after step 2 there is no link to purchase for me, even though it says I accepted the offer (I already have bought a month of ebay plus a few weeks ago, so I was surprised it said I accepted it tbh)

            • @BarneyKB: Sorry I cut it short.

On the congratulations page, Just click I think the first link that takes you to terms and conditions

Then it has a link for eBay Plus where it says:

Eligibility. This offer is only available to the select users who receive an email communication that contains the offer (“Eligible Users” or "you"). To successfully sign up to the offer, Eligible Users must:
accept the offer by clicking on the 'Accept offer' button shown in the email communication OR onsite marketing homepage banner on eBay.com.au; and
sign up to an annual paid membership for eBay Plus valued at $49 per annum.

The part at the end "eBay Plus" is a link to purchase it.

Click that and go thru the process.

At the end I didn't get free 30 days , so I assume that's why I am getting mine in 10 days and not November 21 like others.

              • @Quantico: The terms and conditions mention both 10 days and starting Nov 21, so it may be that nobody is getting the voucher before 21/11. This is what it says exactly:

the Voucher will be issued to Your eBay.com.au account within 10 days of successful payment of your annual eBay Plus membership, starting from 21 November 2022

          • +4

@Quantico: Just another reminder from last time, when paying with Paypal- You get charged an international transaction fee usually

But when paying directly with CC, you do not

    • Yeah that's what it says in my email.

      Step 3
Your $80 voucher will be emailed to you from 21 November.

      • Did you receive email from Ebay stating you get $80 voucher from 21 Nov?
I activated the offer and joined ebay+ paid $49 (as I already used free month trial) received 2 emails from ebay but nothing mentioned about voucher?

        • Yeh. Three green boxes in the email with Step 3 as above. I haven't signed up so not sure if it will say 10 days at that point

          • @bamzero: I got 10 days cos I didnt so the free 39 days offer I Think

  • +4

I feel like a chump accepting the $30 voucher to renew membership

    • Lol same

Where’s the crystal ball when you need one?!

    • Mate, I feel you.

Only did it two days ago too.

  • -2

*New members only. Sign up now

I had plus previously, so i guess though i got the email no voucher coming by way.

Beware of this nasty ebay habit

    • That asterisk is on the phase "30 day free trial", not the whole offer.

    • +1

if you got the email you will get the voucher, you're reading to much into it

      • If you didn't receive the direct invitation email, but clicking on this link shows your account is eligible, I assume you are still good to go?

        • +4

yeah should be fine, after activating id sign up through this $20 link , worked last time got offer & extra voucher, double dip lol

          • @RogueWolf: $20 link says the monthly $5 vouchers that they give have a min $50 spend.

When I just click on eBay Plus at the top of the page, it says I will get monthly $5 vouchers with a min $15 spend.

Dunno if both statements are correct or just one.

            • +1

@SomeGuyOnOzB: I've been getting the $5 off $15 spend monthly vouchers. Signed up in May.

              • +1

@CodeXD: they're rather random. there are months that I got none, one of them or both at once. the one start with PLUS is the better one ($5 off $15), instead of the MYPLUS

          • @RogueWolf: Shall i go for this double dip ?

            • @ChipsChicky: depends how much you value the extra $20, it's risk vs reward, worst case scenario only get the $20 so the membership costed you $29, best case $80 + $20, no idea why people are contacting eBay asking if they get both, obviously you're not suppose too, but works in the past

              • @RogueWolf: I followed these steps in the other post, except I clicked on the $20 link instead of step 3 and instead of getting the 'wait 10 days' lines, I just got the $20 voucher instead. I didn't get a free trial and paid the $50 immediately.

                Click link that doweyy posted
The offer said congratulations you accepted the offer
Clicked to link to Goto purchase eBay plus
Used PayPal as the payment method
Put in PayPal username and password
It came up with successful page, and on that page it said "you'll get your voucher in your account in the next 10 days"

Still seeing the "You've already accepted the offer "Get a $80 voucher with eBay Plus"", "Score an $80 voucher* with eBay Plus!", and "Selling promotions Available Get a $80 voucher with eBay Plus" banners on their respective pages.

There's no indication that the $80 offer was successfully redeemed so might not be worth the risk of 'losing $60' vs 'gaining $20'.

                • @Trysaeder:

Clicked to link to Goto purchase eBay plus

Which link did you click on exactly? The standard one from the eBay Plus homepage or the $20 offer?

There's no indication that the $80 offer was successfully redeemed

$80 vouchers aren't going to be sent until after 21st November.
