JW has also dropped the price to $499, which might be better for those with a JW near them because you can click and collect.

I pulled the trigger even though I already have a 5600X because:
- I don't intend to upgrade to DDR5 for some time; and
- FOMO that these will stop being produced at some point since AM5 is out and 7000X3D variants are coming.Yeah, ddr5 is worth waiting for, for me now you mention it.
It works out cheaper than expanding my ECC UDIMM ram on DDR4.
I know its not full ECC on ddr5 but im comfortable with row checks. Its a huge step forward.
I got tired of waiting for this CPU to fall under $500 that I bought the 5900x instead a couple of weeks ago for $520 + Uncharted game redemption (I upgraded from a 5600x). I plan on getting back into some video editing sooner rather than later so I'm glad I ended up going with the 5900x. I'm loving the performance even though very few games apart from Spider-Man and Miles Morales take advantage of all those extra cores in gaming (I game on a 4K/144Hz refresh display). It's fast enough to see me through the next couple of years until I upgrade to the next platform with DDR5
Hi JW computer, are you going to have Black Friday sales on computer parts on 25th? I am going to build a gaming pc for my son, around 1500 budget. I started checking the price recently, but till now your parts price is even higher than a month ago when I went into your store and got a quotation!
I would have pulled the trigger on this one but there is no free uncharted game.
*Edit. I am wrong.
I had no idea these had gotten so cheap.
Perhaps my Haswell system needs replacing… wow.
