    666 - 25% = 500cm
    I was trying for a humourous reference to 25% off, so I took implied that the OP took 25% off the original length of the red carpet as opposed to 25% off the cost of the red carpet.
    
    SO, 666 x 25% = 166cm, and 666 - 166 = 500.
