It's a really good game. It has really great environments and makes you feel like you're among the pokemon in their natural habitat

    • Would this game be playable for younger players I got a six year old who can only read very basic so I struggle to find games she can play.

      • I played this on N64 when I was around 8. I couldn't figure it out and once I did I had a blast. This is back when we didn't have the internet for walkthroughs and guides and you had to figure it out yourself.
Most feedback is that it is similar to the first one. It's a game she can pick up and play later once she gets used to the controls and play style.
Works well if the children know or have watched Pokemon and know what the evolvements are, etc.
Taking photos and throwing apples. Can't ask for much more.

      • You might be better off looking at Kirby and the Forgotten Land or Super Mario 3D World (Bowsers Fury).

Kirby's really charming and has an easy mode whereas Super Mario has Bowsers Fury which lets you play as an invincible Bowser Jnr.

Pokemon Snap might be a bit hard for a 6yo since even though there's only a few buttons, there's a limit on how many photos you can take and you need to repeat the course multiple times to progress (which might bore kids a bit)

        • Any suggestions on non AAA titles which would be on the e-shop for kids?

          • @onggie: If you have boys, beat-em-ups are always a winner.
The ones we've really enjoyed are Streets of Rage 4 (with DLC); Fight n Rage; and Capcom Beat em Up Bundle. We didn't like Scott Pilgrim and TMNT Shredder's Revenge

        • Thanks for the information guys. I’ve been playing through Pokemon Diamond with her, I’m basically her guide on it. I might give this one a miss but thanks for the suggestions might check out Kirby

  • i will wait for amazon too price match
