Sony A80J 55’ is $1700 odd atm. They’re pretty similar afaik.

I bought it 3 months ago at 17XX. It was a good price. I never imagine C2 42'' price drops so drastically in a few months.
Only time to buy a TV is Black Friday and Boxing Day.
If it's any consolation, the 42 will jump back up after the sales are over.
EOFY is also a good timing but C2 wasn't on sale because it was too new.

Is this the same deal in SDR ?? When not using as a PC monitor but a games console like the Nintendo switch. 42 inch. I notice the 42 is reviewed as a monitor on RTINGS in sdr peak brightness is horrendous. Thanks

Use a TV stand behind the desk. The display is too large anyway to stand on most desks that are not very deep (my desk is 800mm deep and I had to move it behind as I was having head aches from the big bright screen this close to my face)

The exterior does look more cheaply built than some other TVs, but the panel is gorgeous.
