    • Lol with Swinburne uni nearby, I doubt if there is any $30 left.

  • These were harder to get than coles MasterCard…

    • It is a clearance sale, no upcoming delivery.

There are new TCN cards instore now, like BESTIE, MATE, not on sale.

  • Was able to grab $200 kids gift card today and got happy.
But then, I started wondering, why is it that everywhere (coles/wollies/aldi) these gift cards are on sale —- reminded of Deliverooooo!
Hopefully this is only Black Friday sale and TCN/Blackhawk will not ditch us :-)

  • Hi,

I accidentally bought ultimate home card.

What are the chances of getting refund?

I emailed coles ans they told me they will email ultimate gift card for refund

    • they are the right ones ….

  • Managed to get $1500 Baby in 3 visits - great for new baby (due next year) purchases!

    • +1

I dont think you will have any issues getting Baby cards

      • +1

Seems not. And with baby bunting 5% price beat it’s a great deal!

New stage of life. This is the first time I’ve not been scrambling for JB cards!

        • +2

Agreed! But just remember not to go crazy on buying too much new baby stuff. Facebook Marketplace is a gold mine for good quality second hand baby gear at a fraction of the RRP new. Cots, prams, bouncers, etc.

  • My local Coles had about 30 x $50 Teens and Home cards. I asked if I could buy 20 of them and was told I could only get 5 per day. Didn't worry about getting any.

  • +1

besides from JB, Good Guys and Supercheap……. is there any other shops actually worth using at?

    • Depends what you’re into. For example, Adore Beauty sell Aesop products, which at 15% off is a good deal for those who would buy it normally

Booktopia if you’re into books. They usually have similar or better prices than Amazon

ASOS/The Iconic if you like that type of fashion

      • I feel like less than 5% of people here would buy there

        • I’d say the majority are after JB/Good Guys discounts. A small minority (myself included) will be keen on very specific brands (like Aesop), which aren’t normally able to be bought at a discount. A bargain is a bargain

          • @SirFrankGrimes: Active ones for Athletes foot…. We always buy the kids shoes there, so I got $400 worth for next show shop

    • I'm normally a JB shopper - but this time I went Baby for Baby Bunting - they have a decent price beat making them 5% cheaper - wouldn't pay their regular prices though

      • ya BB is good if you need see something in person and buy

otherwise online generally cheaper but then again they do price beat online too as long as it includes delivery

  • Could i use 70 or so $50 KIDS gift cards at JB HiFi in one transaction?

    • Yes

    • +1

The instore checkout system won't stop you. Someone once redeem 81 in one instore transaction. However, the staff member may stop you if they really feel like it (but that is highly unlikely).

You cannot redeem the TCN KIDS gift cards in this deal on the JB Hi-Fi website (at least not directly).

  • +1

Anyone knows how to add the cards to Apple Wallet? My Apple Wallet says the cards are not eligible.

    • +2

You cannot add physical TCN gift cards with specific retailers (e.g. TEEN, KIDS, HOME) or Good Food gift cards to a mobile wallet.

If you have a TCN Cinema or TCN Pamper gift card, you will need to go this website and scroll down to the section Pay safer and faster using your mobile wallet. Click/tap on Go Digital and fill out the form to have your physical gift card replaced with a digital Mastercard version of the gift card. (This also works for the TCN Restaurant and TCN Pub & Bar gift cards, but those are not included in this deal.)

  • Can we use more than one giftcard/evoucher on baby bunting website? Thanks

    • Should be fine - anyone can confirm

    • yes i've used 4 of them in one order to get the Stokke Tripp Trapp on Baby Bunting :)

  • No home at all at fountain gate coles nor the Prahran coles. Anyone could shed a light of where to find some please 🥲

    • Woolworths

      • -1

So you haven't taken my warning seriously. You should not give suggestions when you don't know the consequences.

        • Oh it's the Ultimate they have this week :-)

  • Why wouldn't they (TCN, Ultimate, Coles etc.) do this promotion online?

    • +2

I imagine Coles want the in store footfall

  • Coles prepaod mastercard gift card deal even easier to find stock than this deal lol.

  • Am i able to use tcn to get apple gc at JB hifi?

    • +3

      Yes, as long as:

      • You tell that you would like to use a card as a payment method. Do not say you want to use a gift card, otherwise you will probably make staff think you have a JB Hi-Fi gift card.

      • Staff do not stop you. Some JB Hi-Fi will stop you from using TCN (or Ultimate or JB Hi-Fi) gift cards to purchase Apple gift cards, because they think customers should not be using gift cards to purchase gift cards. This is not common, but can happen from time to time, so keep this in mind.

If you want to use multiple TCN gift cards to purchase one Apple gift card, you will need to tell staff member you want to do split payments and you need to tell the exact amount you want to redeem from each TCN gift card. Fingers crossed the staff member will let you do this!

      • Oh wow im tryna get airpods, dont know if i should risk it

        • +1

Obtaining a 15% discount on Apple gift cards was never going to be easy haha

If I am not mistaken, you could get AirPods from JB Hi-Fi (or TGG) and use the TCN gift cards as a payment method. It would be basically unheard of for JB Hi-Fi (and TGG) staff to stop you from using TCN (or Ultimate or JB Hi-Fi) gift cards to pay for AirPods. Is there any particular reason you want to get the AirPods through Apple?

          • @WookieMonster: Apple gives you a gift card if you buy from there website depending what product you buy. I'm also hoping to get some cashback and apple raising the percent.

            • +2

@jchavez: Oh yeah, I forgot about that bonus gift card promotion (and cashback).

I’d encourage you to give it a go, because 8 or 9 times out of 10, JB Hi-Fi staff will let you do this, especially if you only say you want to pay by card.

            • @jchavez: I'm not exactly sure about this, however I read somewhere that if you pay with Apple Gift Cards to buy a product from Apple, you may not get the gift card reward Apple is offering. So please make sure that you check this. You would still get 15% off with this deal, but it is a bonus if you could get some cashback from Apple too!

        • Picked up airpods yesterday for $152.15 using this method. Worked fine with me having to swipe multiple teen $50 cards for payment.

Edit. I didnt go with the Apple GC option, just a direct purchase in store.

          • +2

@mnemonic9: Just managed to purchase $1300 of Apple GC using these 15% off TCN cards. Thanks so much @WookieMonster and everyone else on the OzB forums!

For anyone else interested, went to JB Chatswood Chase and they flat out refused. JB Chatswood Westfield only had lower denomination cards (mostly $30 and $50). so didn't bother trying there. JB North Sydney came in clutch - had the higher denomination cards and were very helpful as I swiped and entered all the pins.

            • @goandgoo: crazy JB Chastwood refused? wtf

              • @ivyholmes: Yep cashier straight up said to me you cannot buy gift cards with gift cards. Tried to explain these are basically EFTPOS cards but got nowhere. She also tried to explain it was JB policy, but clearly she's wrong….

                • +1

@goandgoo: It is technically their policy - it's just that there's no limitation on the POS to stop it from happening so if you find someone who doesn't care to enforce the policy you can skate through.

                • +1

@goandgoo: Refused me too. When asked why, the answer was to stop money laundering. B******t! So, I showed them my purchase receipt, and their excuse was, we cannot track them with receipts… can you imagine, I believe they want some supernatural to track money laundering for them. Lol

Went to another store, and no question asked used my 5 tcn cards to buy $400 Apple gift card.

            • @goandgoo: I live near chatty and no coles has the TCN Home gift cards anymore :(

              • @dinglejerry: Ahh damn sorry to hear that - I'd guess most Coles on the north shore would've sold out at 6am on Wednesday unfortunately

                • -2

@goandgoo: I called coles Manly Vale and the service desk person said most of them were gone early because all the "Asian" people rush in the door and get them asap

                  • @dinglejerry: To be clear to the downvoters - I wasn't sanctioning this comment and was trying to indicate it was a pretty crap thing to say - tone obviously hard to reflect on here.

  • All my local Coles had these signs up within minutes of opening after being raided…what a scam!

    https://imgur.com/a/fqiVR7g

    • How many stores did you go to?

    • Looks like the staff filled their pockets. What about the Kids cards though - they have JB too. Strange they didn't include that on their notice,

  • +3

Purchased mastercards at 10% off, used these to buy home gift cards at 15% off, then purchased my PS5 with JB perks $10.

I think this was my cheapest option.

    Thanks OP

    • +1

Love your work mate. Well done

    • +1

I already spent my 5 prepaid MasterCards, but I had some Coles gift cards that I bought for 10% off via Amex Offers. I ended up paying $820 out of pocket for a Pixel 7 Pro, and I might get $94 GST back when I travel overseas next month.

    • How do you get 10%coles master card ?

    • -2

Are mastercards still at 10% off?

  • Was anyone able to use the Coles Myer giftcards to buy TCN Teens giftcards?

    • Yes

  • +1

Does anyone know what denominations are the goodfood gift cards?

    • +1

Saw $50 ones at the Coles Flinders Street (VIC)

  • Forgive me OzBargain, I am new to Gift Cards.

So can I buy multiple $50 Homes GCs and then use those multiple cards to buy a $1000 item from say JB HiFi or The Good Guys?

    • Yes thats right. Would advise to take the cards out of packing and scratch the pins to save time

  • Follow up question. Can JB HiFi give out Tax Invoices with my name on it for TRS purposes? Item is over $1K.

    • Yes

    • They should be able to - just advise them of this before you start the payment process. Some POS systems can't edit the transaction details after the payment is made.

    • It seems their system didn't have a specific spot for it when I asked, but they just added it as a "note" on the invoice.

      • Wait, what? So they had it hand written?

I wonder if TRS would accept the 'Note' whether hand written or printed.

        • It wasn't hand written, it was printed. TRS require your name to be printed on the invoice; it doesn't say where that has to be. It will be fine for TRS. The reason I gave the extra detail was in case someone gets the response that they don't have a name field; in which case, ask the staff to write it in the note section.

  • +1

Does anyone know how many TCN Home cards one can use in one transaction at JB Hi-Fi ?
Planning to buy 15x $ 100 cards to buy an iPhone at JB Hi-Fi and Coles won't have only $100 cards.

  • +3

Just used 38 cards at JB, a mix of both TCN and Ultimate cards - it was fine

  • How does Refunds work with these Gift Cards in case of Returns? Do the retailer refund it on to the Gift Cards? It can be cumbersome as you would be paying for phones etc with multiple gift cards. Any info/ experiences ?

    • normally it will refund to the same payment method

    • I've got refunded to my eftpos card.

  • Not a single card left at the two Coles stores I visited today in Chatswood.

  • What about The Cinema card.
Event and Hoyts accept this card?

  • +1

I completely forgot this deal was even running.

Oh well I guess I don't have to deal with the rush of going to the store just for these and not finding any. No 15% discount for me though there are probably none left.

  • Went to 2 stores and no surprise: nothing left for the cards which have the discount

  • Can you use these gift cards JB HIFI Online on there website

    • no

  • Struggling to find em

    • Managed to get some $50 home and teen cards. Now have to try getting jb to add accessories to the dyson

      • Can you elaborate on getting JB to add accessories? Do you just ask them ask them to do it as a complimentary gift?

  • Coles North Sydney and World Square still don't have any $100 Home cards :(

    • Did they have any other amounts? Is there a limit of these cards we can use at JB?

Is this confirmed that $100 amounts are also on discount?
