poeple had problems with these before?

    • Which ones?

  • +2

They are never in stock when promo starts.

  • +1

Damn. I was hoping for a direct 10% off deal.

    • -1

      Same.

I guess they're gone forever, just like the MasterCard deal.

  • +1

There are two versions of these gift cards: one features the trademark "The Ultimate Gift for (TM)", while the other includes both "One4all" and "The Ultimate Gift for (TM)". Are they the same, and are both eligible for 20x FlyBuy points?

    • +1

Yes. Old packaging vs new packaging. It’s all the same (in terms of qualification for points).

    • +3

The two "generations" of Ultimate gift cards you mention both belong to the same gift card scheme, because they are both Ultimate gift cards at the end of the day. As the OP said above, it is merely a case of old packaging vs new packaging.

Here is an example of the three different "generations" of packaging used for the Ultimate Everyone gift cards. If the Ultimate Everyone gift card was part of this deal, all three "generations" would be eligible to earn 20x points.

  • STILL NO AIRBNB LOVE!?!? 😔

  • Does coles sell everyone or home? I shop there more than woolworths

    • +1

They do, but those are not part of this deal.

      • +1

Thanks mate. Yeah i'll hold out instead of buying from woolworths then

  • Off topic, but haven't had offer for TCN Restaurant or Restaurant Choice GC's for a while now, quite strange?

  • Does that include variable ones pls? I need around $5k for macbook so if $100-$200 ones are on sale only, it will take lots of time.

    • +2

FreePoints says the deal excludes the variable load Ultimate Her and Ultimate Him gift cards. Ultimate Students gift cards and Celebration gift cards are also not sold in a variable load denomination at Coles (or any other brick & mortar retailer, for that matter), which will mean you will need to resort to fixed-denomination gift cards:

      • Ultimate Him: $50, $100
      • Ultimate Students: $30, $50
      • Celebration: $100, $200

Additionally, FreePoints is saying you can only collect a maximum of 50,000 Flybuys points per account during this deal, which means you are effectively capped at buying $2500 worth of gift cards with one Flybuys account. Hopefully, you have at least one other Flybuys account you can use to get around this limitation.1

As an aside, it took me around four minutes to redeem 13 gift cards to pay for my MacBook Pro at an Officeworks store during Black Friday, so if you are organised (e.g. take the gift cards out of the packaging before you get to the checkout, explain to the checkout person what you want to do, organise your gift cards so you redeem the same $100 denominations first, then $50 denominations), that will help reduce the time spent at the checkout.

      1. If you have another Flybuys card linked to the same Flybuys account as your Flybuys card, that will not help in this situation, as Flybuys considers the two Flybuys cards as being on the same Flybuys account.

      • +1

        Very helpful. Thanks you 🙏

      • Hi mate
Have you done the price match/beat at OW, then paid in Gift Cards?
Do they get shitty or all okay?
Currently banking GC's and looking to try the above this week.

        • I did that twice last year, and the staff member did not care about me using a Coles Group & Myer gift card as a payment method. To be fair, both price beats were for stationery items that cost less than $10.

        • I have no problem pricebeat with OW. I took advice & prepare the giftcards beforehand like scratching the pin & swipe them myself so it take minimum time. OW staff is familar with price beat for Apple products so no question asked.

      • Re "Celebration gift cards are also not sold in a variable load denomination at Coles", I saw this at my local Coles. Is this eligible or not?
Totally confused with the different packaging.

        • +1

That is an Ultimate Celebrate gift card, which is not part of this deal.

The Celebration gift card that is part of this deal looks like this and has no Ultimate nor One4All branding on it.

          • +1

@WookieMonster: Thanks for clarifying! Appreciate it.

            • @daoople:

              Celebrate Vs Celebration

Luckily I didn't buy that as I thought that should had been bargained in that case.

  • Excludes variable load Ultimate Her and Ultimate Him gift cards

So have to get 20 of $100 Him gift card if want buy $2000 item in JB HIFI, just wonder if any limit in store when using 20 of cards?

    • +4

I am not sure whether JB Hi-Fi checkouts enforce a redemption limit in-store. The OzBargain record is 99.

  • Does anyone know if I can split payment between multiple of these gift cards to pay for one large order on IKEA's website?

    • +1

Answering my own question. The catch is some retailers like IKEA only allow specific denomination.

I had $57.50 on my original Ultimate gift card, so I had to exchange for a $50 IKEA card and $7.50 for Uber Eats. Uber Eats, JB Hi-fi, and a few others retailers allow you to nominate a custom value to exchange.

      Exchange for an eGift Card
You can now exchange your Ultimate Gift card for an eGift of a participating retailer.

To exchange your Ultimate Gift Card:

Click on the Exchange Card Button or visit exchangeyourcard.com.au
On the next page, the card number, CVV, and Expiry Date/Valid Thru and click Redeem.
Divide your gift funds as you wish, choose one or more of the participating retailers in the catalogue, add to basket and checkout.
Receive your chosen eGifts directly into your email (if you can’t see it, don’t forget to check your junk mail)
Go shopping! Many eGifts can be used online or in-store.

      Digital Cards

The expiry date is located in the card detail section of your eGift below the PIN number.

      • So can you apply multiple (how many) GCs while paying for IKEA Order.

I have about $2.2k of Order I want to pay for

        • Yes, but I'm not sure how many IKEA's gift cards you can use per order.

          • +2

@thangcuoi: Have you had a look at the FAQ wiki linked at the bottom of the deal description? It contains a FAQ that would be of interest to you.

            • +1

@WookieMonster: Thank you very much for pointing this out. The wiki is one section I often overlooked on the website.

  • As an aside, why is Uber not on Ultimate Her? Do her's don't use Uber or Uber Eats?

  • How does this work? Do we just go to coles, scan our flybuys and purchase the gift card and we then get the points which we can use in the future?

  • has anyone redeemed multiple cards at officeworks? I know staff can reject them?

    • It shouldn't be an issue, I used 10 ultimate cards to buy an iPad before and I just told the guy and he just laughed and went "okay".

  • My bonus points are not showing up on the app yet. How long does it usually take for the points to be awarded?

    • Same here. Waiting for bonus points to show up. Purchased on 8th. Let me know if you see yours. Cheers

      • Can see mine on the app now

        • Mine are also showing

    • I also purchased on the 8th and the bonus isn’t showing

    • Purchased the Apple gift cards on the 7th and no bonus points. Called today, the rep asked me to fill out a form and advised they should be in the account within a few days after they've received the form.

    • Purchased on 8th and 9th. Still waiting for bonus points.

    • The bonus points sometimes lag behind the standard points by a day or two. It's nothing to worry about. Check your account at around 5-6pm today as there's a good chance they'll all be there.

      • Is celebration ($200 only) card eligible for 20X points?

        • +1

          Yes

    • Should be 48hrs but my points from the recent apple gift cards deal took a bit longer. Did show up though.

  • To get around the 5 cards per day limit, is it simply a case of going to another Coles? Or do they track your purchase through Flybuys account

    • +1

Limit should be on the points to Flybuys account. you risk not getting the bonus points for the 6th card and beyond.

  • I think I confuse myself. Is celebration ($200 only) card eligible for 20X points?

  • Any idea how long it takes Flybuys points to credit?

    • +1

Generally by 5pm next business day. But every now and then there’s delays for another 1 or 2 days.

  • A bit late for this, but buying 5x one4all Him to swap them to JB e-gift cards, I should be able to use multiples of them towards a jb online order? Is the logic sound?

    • +1

Yes, you should be able to. This person said they redeemed 51 JB Hi-Fi gift cards in one online transaction.

  • Has everyone got their points? I bought the $200 celebration cards on the Sat and no points showed up…I called them on the Tuesday and they said it was a known issue and to wait a week but so far no points have appeared…I did make the mistake of using the same card for more than 5 cards but assume I would at least get points for the 5 cards…
