Can anyone enlighten me on why routers are such a hot topic/ thing to buy amongst aussies when we already have nbn's? Will speed increase and latency decrease? Something along those lines?
More smart devices => more devices connected to your router, you want a good solid router that can handle a lot of stream of data between different devices
I see, does it increase speed rather when devices are connected directly to the nbn or at least run at the speed you are paying for?
I think its more of all your devices will have more stable connections rather than speed increases, like you can stream 4K in family room while playing FPS games with stable internet connections (no ping spike or package loss).
the very basic router can give you your planned NBN speed but your wifi might not be that stable when you have a lot of devices connected to it.
