Not bad for the XT version. Could be cheaper on click frenzy or BF over the coming weeks but that's not guaranteed. Although this may have free shipping??

need it to be sub $350 to beat previous deal
6800XT <$699 in the next month.
Feel like it's gonna be cheaper considering the pricing and performance of 7000 gpu
Just wondering, why do you feel that prices are gonna drop for the current gen gpus? Feels like 7900xt and 7900xtx are bound to be roughly 1.8k aud anyhow for double the performance of the 6900xt, which was sold for ~$900 through amazon for quite a bit. Not saying you're wrong or anything, old tech is meant to get cheaper after all.
6900xt was released with MRRP US$999 and I think it was released in Australia with a cheapest MRRP of $1600…consider 7900xt with double the performance (currently on paper) and a MRRP of $899… It will probably crash any previous gen card that's selling in the price range of $1000 - $1500 in Australia…$900 for a 6900xt will probably be the norm for now and it will dip more depends on how many stocks retailers have and how good the new mid range cards perform
$7900 xt probably sell for $1600 ish i think. So $900 for 6900xt sounds about right
is there a 6900xt for $900 today?
@keongyip: There was but it's all sold out
It's about a week old
@Ilikecars: thought so, i was hoping somewhere else was doing it for the same. thanks mate
@keongyip: It has been on amazon for weeks
I can get a used Sapphire Nitro Extreme Edition 6900 xt for $1000 should I do it? Apparently it has a binned chip and out performs 6950xt and 3090
@essent1al: No. There were literally 6900xt's for $900 brand new on amazon. Why would u pay $1000 for something used?
@essent1al: If it's bought from a good retailer and has a receipt, and 2.5 years left on a standard 3 year retail warranty, then it's not a terrible deal if the chip binning really is that good. Still a pretty luke warm deal, but not terrible.
If it's a 2 year old card, or has no receipt, or was a grey import, or a shitty/dodgy retailer, then i wouldn't even pay half of RRP myself.@ssfps: yeah bought from PLE with receipt provided. i think i might go for it
@essent1al: I've seen that one as well. Honestly I'd hold off. Black Friday is around the corner and with 7000 series cards coming soon, it's quite possible we'll see $900 6900xt in a few weeks, brand new. 1k, for used when you can get new for $900ish isn't amazing, but if you can't wait and it comes with receipt then seems not too bad. Another thing to note is that the Amazon $900 deal has been the same price for weeks and they get more stock in each time they sell out and it goes back to $900. So personally I'd wait and see if more stock comes into Amazon over the next weem
@Ilikecars: Well I want a card before Warzone 2 release which is 16/11 so I can play. Amazon probably wont deliver til 2023 at this rate
@essent1al: Why buy used for $1k when brand new is ~$900?
@iseeyou1312: Its 1k including postage, paypal fees etc. Plus its the watercooled extreme sapphire nitro toxic edition, and only 6 months old with receipt, and ill have it in my hands within a week rather than a month or two from amazon (which is out of stock now anyway)
@essent1al: I would stay away from AIO GPUs honestly, when the AIO pump fails (which is the most likely point of failure) the entire GPU becomes e-waste. Maybe you can take the heatsink off and stick it in a custom loop, but that's a lot of expense and effort.
@essent1al: I agree with iseeyou1312, personally I would stay away from AIO cards if you plan to have the card for many years. If longevity outside warranty period isn't a big deal to you, then it's maybe worth it.
The Australian dollar has fallen a lot since then and with how the RBA is raising rates will continue to fall, so $1700-1800 for the 7900 XTX seems likely. Which is still insane value compared to Ngreedia.
@iseeyou1312: Err, higher local interest rates bolster our dollar not weaken it.
@skysurfer: It's relative interest rates. When the Fed is doing 0.75% and the RBA is doing 0.25%, our dollar collapses relative to the USD.
The Fed is also likely to do 0.75% in December and 0.5-0.75% in January, whilst the RBA will do 0.25% in December and 0.25-0.5% in February.
@iseeyou1312: You've just confirmed my point and contradicted your own previous claim.
@skysurfer: The confusion here is in @iseeyou1312 's phrasing
then and with how the RBA is raising rates will continue to fall
He didn't say 'because of the rate rises' , he said with how they are rising rates. Granted, it's confusing and at a glance I misinterpreted what he meant too.
@skysurfer: What claim? I said:
with how the RBA is raising rates
By how I was referring to doing much smaller rate rises than other central banks and letting inflation get out of control. Perhaps I could've phrased it better but I thought the meaning was self evident.
Would have instantly bought this a month ago. But now so close to Black Friday I want to see things get a bit lower.
