bought this a few years ago. Brought it on probably a handful of overseas trips and still never used it. Sad times.
Yeah it's useless, lost the small metal pin, buried in landfill in another country now.
This is true. It needs to have holes in the pin and plate so you can tie some fishing line on the parts to keep them together. Too easy for it to fall out of the plastic sleeve it comes in.
Otherwise it's a good product and does what it says.
fit this to your keyed front/back doors after your kid goes out.
if home before curfew, no harm done.
if after curfew , means they not gonna sneak in quietly.
These are great for knocking boots without getting interrupted by kids if you're in a rental that doesn't have bedroom locks
We just replaced our door handles with interior privacy handles. Will change it back and take it with us when we move.

Been egging this product for ages. Crappy quality
Rust and crap composition overall. Loose pin design, will lose eventually. Come back when a rust free alternative comes and i will pay more. This is almost landfill
