Was looking for Coffee beans and saw these.
All Lavazza Espresso and Oro 1kg bean ranges on Amazon AU are 50% off.
I haven't tried them, but ordered a couple of bags.

But easily searchable
Oro is 17.50Intenso is great!
Is it better than the Aldi Brazil beans?
yep
No. Stick with Aldi Brazil (I also don't mind Aldi Medium-Dark)
I used beans from Aldi for my coffee, and then I started to get Diarrhea, I replaced the beans with Lavazza Espresso, and the Diarrhea stopped. Just Saying.
Yes
Seriously? I am interested in giving it a try after I finish my Aldi Brazil beans. Where on the packaging I can see the roast date?
Much better than the Airjo Sumatra beans and cheaper!
Big call considering air Jo are freshly roasted
Yeah I'd be taking their opinion with a grain of salt, they go out of their way to shitcan literally every Airjo deal…obviously had a bad experience & is fixated on bringing them down.
How fresh are they?
Doesn't matter, it's so overroasted.
I always get this coffee and strength myself and only ever buy when it's half price at woolies :) It's great. Either as a cap using barista blend macadamia milk or adding two shots to a vanilla or chocolate protein shake, it's great regardless.
These beans are half price every other week between coles and woolies along with Vittoria, I much prefer the Vittoria but I’m sure it’s just a personal taste thing.
I don't know how people can say they have taste buds but drink overroasted coffee.
I tried the most expensive Vittoria - had to throw them away.
On my coffee machine, fresh roasted usually has a grind setting of around 15 (half of max), Vittoria needs to be dialed right down to grind setting 5 - absolute crap.Weird, I have a Brev Barista Pro, grind setting is 9 and always get a wonderful pour, I tried the Lavazza and had the opposite affect , anyway each to their own, I’d rather go back to instant that pay $40-$60 a kilo for coffee I’m cheap
Aldi beans are the only ones I can find consistently off the shelf that have been roasted within the last 10 days, without getting roast to order. I'll stick with them for $12 a KG
How do you find the roast date on the bag? There is never a stamped date on there for me
there is a 6-digit number on the bag, iirc it's like 311022.
It’s underneath the use by date but in reverse format from memory I think it’s like 221031. You’ll see it. Not hard to decipher.
On the side of the bag, top right.
Not $12/kg anymore as far as I know
The Dark Roast is still $11.99 (well it was yesterday). All the others have gone up but that's what I drink anyway. I'm sure it will go up at some point. Or maybe they'll keep it as a loss leader. It's one of the only reasons I end up doing large shops at Aldi.
First time brewed a cup from Aldi Brazil beans (roasted on 21092022). Previous grind setting for Airjo Sumatra blend was too fine for Aldi Brazil beans and almost choked the coffee machine. I also got more crema from it than the Airjo Sumatra.
any indication on roast date?
This tastes terrible and not fresh from the bag I got a few weeks ago.
tastes nothing no notes no nothing, most likely already stale… no roast date.
what the expire date on this, as I still have few more bags to finish :)
It's always on special so not need to stock up too much
nice coffee
