PS5 still allows it, just goes to show you don't really need a true PCIe gen 4 x4 SSD for PS5 games.
Pity at this price, this SSD is still not the cheapest SSD which manages to trick PS5.Which is the cheapest that tricks the ps5?
Even though pcie4 offers 4x more capacity for concurrent I/O queue so what really matters is the IOPS numbers. For this DRAMless drive, buy as big capacity as your wallet allow because the more you fill it up the slower it gets. Don't get too concern about it because it's still so much faster than SATA SSD.
Phison based SSDs, it is much better to get the 2TB version. However, for E19 based SSDs, they are priced like PCIe gen 3 SSDs (well they should), so best to treat them like PCIe gen 3 DRAMless SSDs.
Gen 4 but with Gen 3 speeds!
