From the 20th October until the 30th October, KFC will be doing an app exclusive promotion with a new deal appearing in the app at 1pm AEDT every day. There will be 11,000 available each day so you have to be quick in order to get the deal.

My Wife and I both managed to get it - looks like they screwed the programming up initially. When it finally worked, it put two in the cart and gave a discount of $4.95. At one point it was trying to split the cost of 1 bucket in half - which isn't going to work.

Ask for a refund due to frustration (some city rail guy ass kisses the staff saying: " your doing a great job")
And receive the full price of two meals reduced being $8.90… well worth the refund, no idea if the popcorn was a deal because didn't buy it

No idea why people always update their apps sometimes that don't require mandatory updates because you lose out on deals, but in kfc's app it should be permanently deleted.
KFC previous version doesn't let you use it unless you update it. Tried downgrading already.
I've actually had no troubles with the KFC app's functionality. The UI is what makes it shit for me. On to the popcorn chicken, it's not great and if you read previous comments you would've seen that.

You deserve an award. Not for what you're bragging about lol but the fact you actually kept two of those slime balls down. I can eat almost anything for breakfast and still got one down but not an enjoyable experience. On second thoughts, maybe you would've enjoyed the oily unseasoned batter balls.
They both came with ghee butter, and brioche bun, I later went to the super market(Woolworths, Aldi) realized the crazy prices then waited for KFC deal to open…
Either way dinner was sorted at breakfast time.

I ordered just after 10, and rocked up at the store just before 11. The advertised opening time is 11, but it seems they weren't letting people in the front door until 11. They served me at drive through at 10:55 and asked me to park at 10:57 because they needed 3 minutes for popcorn chicken to be ready. They eventually brought it out at 11:07.

You have to buy it before promo stock runs out. This means checkout and pay. You can then pick it up any time before it closes, you use app to say when you're nearby and they'll start order then (or you can cancel).

There was an impromptu OzB meetup at Wollongong Central food court. As soon as 1pm struck they had about 5 app orders for $1 nugs. Lucky I was first, they appeared to run out and were offering to swap for something else

ironically, I've been having this issue too. Just keeps refusing to process the payment, but if I use my card on another person's KFC app on their phone, then it works. Some weird stuff going on with the re-designed app (other than poor UI).
The app is rejecting my card payments also, but paypal goes through fine. I'm still waiting it to clear a failed "pending transaction" on a Vanilla prepaid card so I can use up remaining small balance and be done with it!
Were you using Apple Pay? Kept failing for me so had to add bank card then it worked
I had the same issue paying with ApplePay using Amex card. Failed 3 times but it worked first go when I used ApplePay with CBA credit card instead. Maybe they don’t accept Amex?
Got the nuggets. They were fresh, hot, and not too salty. The sweet n sour sauce was good.
Got the nuggets 25 minutes in ie 12.55 Adelaide time. Really soggy crumb though and the meat just looked like processed mush = not worth the $6 or what ever they normally cost. Even for $1 the pleasure wasn't there. Popcorn chicken on the other hand tastes better and 'looks' like it's diced meat.

Agree. Compared to tthe the other deals like Regular Popcorn, Slider in past few days, Zinger was most appealing and value for money (RRP $6.45).
Would expect a similar demand for Twister tomorrow (RRP $7.95) & it's the last day for a $1 Deal.

I add extra lettuce, supercharged sauce and chili relish.. improves it a lot. But the Zinger burger has definitely changed and the fillets are much thinner. Not very satisfying and certainly wouldn't pay full price.
