Korean restaurant Paik’s Bibim has expanded their traditional menu to include a myriad of delicious, vegan options. Feast on a hearty bowl of bibimbap – a delicious rice bowl with sautéed veggies, your choice of protein, toasted sesame seeds and a flavoursome mix of soy sauce, chilli and sugar. This new menu arrives in time for World Vegan Day on November 1. To celebrate, Paik’s Bibim is giving away free vegan bibimbap bowls over the Melbourne Cup weekend, from Saturday October 29 to Tuesday November 1.
- Tofu Bibimbap – tofu marinated in soy sauce with an assortment of crispy and crunchy veggies, such as bean sprouts, radish and seaweed, on top of rice. This costs $13.80.
- Veggie Bulgogi Bibimbap – a plant-based protein of soybean seasoned with soy sauce. This rice dish comes with fresh mushrooms, lettuce, radish and more. It costs $14.80.
- Bokkeum Kimchi Bibimbap – this bibimbap is topped with stir-fried kimchi and assorted vegetables, packing a spicy punch filled with umami flavours. It costs $13.80.
