Thursdays are late trading hours, are they going to say 'no sorry, can't come in' to a casual shopper who happens to be shopping that evening?
You have to present the invitation to get discount.
Same deal @ Good Guys in Belconnen, ACT so might be nationwide.
Why I have never receive VIP invitation from them in Syndey.

Anyone read the small print on what is actually 50% off? Last time they had one of these, they had approx. 3 or 4 items per department that were discounted, and they were lame old discontinued items.
But I could be wrong and there could be some real deals. :)
Last time I heard they have Galaxy tab 7.7 for around 250 during last week VIP night.

Why don't they just have a "we'll match the online price" sale?
So very true and so very misleading, is an old tactic to simply bring in massive crowd. I was at GG store in Caringbah yesterday for Samsung Plasma and told that there was one in stock at Rockdale location if I agreed with the price, my response was that I would call him back to let him know a price to match and he said he would do his best.
Says u have to ring or email them as invite only… Hmm oh and by today too, u didn't give us any time I dunno if I'd call this a deal
